I would disagree about the malted barley not adding much. It is a great way to feed fungus in your soil, to me this is the purpose of feeding fungus and bacteria to build up higher populations to help break down organic materials to feed your soil, is it needed? Technically no but it can help.

My guess is you don't work or care for many plants. I work 12 hour days and watering and feeding multiple strains kicks my ass. I don't have half the stuff going on that you do. My plants only get what they need. Peace

you've alterered the coots soil mix drastically when you only amend 1/3rd of it, the compost, by volume.

coots mix is amended by taking a cubic foot of mixed compost, aeration and SPM and adding the kelp, rock dusts ect.

I use much of his regime in my garden and think his basic practices are a good way to get off bottled nutes and produce tasty terpy flowers.

I fed ACT made with EWC, molasses and insect frass along with water every day in flower on this run and also top dressed a few tablespoons of guano and bokashi and barley around week 5.

Sour Dubb

SFV OGK yeah, it works on OG even if Coots won't smoke it.
