This is a really good question.

The internal temperature of the baked goods I make doesnt get high enough to decarb the fat. We bake at 350 or so but the actual temps of the food prolly dont go far above 200 for long. Most meats are well done at an internal temp of 180. Breads reach like 200 max and at that point it comes out of the oven.

For this specific application, making candy or caramels I like to go to the soft ball stage at about 245 and remove from heat. This would without a doubt leave most of the thc unconverted.

I just want to leave myself as many options as possible. With this method even no bake cheesecake is fully active and decarbed coconut oil is ready to be make into topicals.

Watching the process take place on the stove lets us see the speed and duration of process at a whatever temp. This seriously was a huge leap for my edibles. Give it a shot.

This means a hell of a lot since you dont like sweets. It tells me my presentation is at least appetizing.

I had a request for some infused olive oil but they never came and got it, so Im think about making a salad dressing or a mayonnaise with it.

Going to give this a shot today. Ive made butter in the past with mixed results. This method seems fool proof with the IR thermometer. Going to use coconut oil instead of butter. Anyone know if adding water during the extracting process is needed when using coconut oil?

Water is not required but can be useful removing green plant material.

I use a Magical Butter machine and use no water.

Good Luck
