I grew Spice this summer at 45 North latitude. It was finishing in the middle of October but I had to take it down a bit earlier than I would have liked due to rain.
It was a beautiful plant and did not mold much. It needed support for it's long branches and grew close to four meters tall. I'm letting it rest a bit before I sample it. |

Hi squatty,
Can you comment on the density of those flowers? Look like some nice spears from here. Would love to hear a smoke report when the time comes. I have always had an interest in this strain. |

Hi squatty.
I have some of those seeds I hope to run in the next couple of years. I am also interested in close-up pics of the flowers, smell, taste and effect descriptions. Thanks in advance for sharing your experience with this line! |

Hello guys.
Sorry I do not have a better camera. The flowers on this spice are of a medium density. They are not very large flowers considering the size of the plant. Flowers in the jar smell of a musky, earthy, pine with light scents of pine sol cleaner and fruit. The plant grew well in organic super soil. It did not give me much trouble except that I lost quite a few branches with wind and rain. Branches and even the main stem grew to great lengths but could not hold the weight of flowers. I tied two bamboo poles to the main stem to keep it upright and secured individual branches with bamboo. I highly recommend some kind of support for this plant. I started my plant in early May and it began to flower at the end of July. I have streetlights shining directly in to my backyard so all my plants seem to flower long. This spice was in the eleventh week of flower in the middle of October when I had to cut it down due to rain. It was being pummeled daily by rain but really didn't show much mold. I was able to let a few branches grow another week under a roof and those flowers were even better looking. I'll try a bit in the next week or so. |

Breaking up the buds I found smells of sour citrus and fuel. Buds are sticky and more dense than expected. Smoking a joint I get flavors of hash and a creamy, citrus ambrosia. The flavors are not overtly bold or pronounced. But inhaling and concentrating on the smoke in my mouth I recognize the complexities. The smoke itself is incredibly mild, soft and inviting. There is no harshness or expansion. And yet there is a definite mouthwatering sharpness of flavors. The experience reminded me of enjoying a quality cigar. It made me want to keep inhaling without regard to the consequences. The cerebral high from three or four hits was stimulating but not overwhelming. I felt motivated to get outside in the brisk December air. While doing yard work my body felt relaxed and I was able to gently push through my back pain and stretch comfortably. My thoughts were certainly stimulated and yet there was no raciness or unwanted effects. I look forward to trying Spice with a nice cure. |
