In theory, that might work...but in practice, imo one huge PIA. Especially since I have seen FGs go dormant for months, then--for no reason, suddenly appear with great gusto...like a bear waking up from hibernation.

soil drench with azamax, and add crushed mosquito bits to top of soil...then try to let the soil dry out....they seek damp soil to lay eggs.......water in the bottom of the saucers only when needed and let the container wick the water up from the bottom to keep the top of the soil dry

it will take 1-2 weeks till the egg cycle is broken but you will see the effects....a few eggs will hatch but die off until there is none left

dont re-use this soil next round, start clean again

Nematodes for the win. Everyone likes the dunks or traps. The nematodes work the best. I tried all remedies in the last 30 years and predator nematodes are the answer.

Of course yellow cards clipped on each container works too. I buy mine through Amazon and cut them in half, then use those baby binder clips to attach them to the lips of each 5 gallon container.

It helps identify the infested children. Mosquito Bits mixed in the soil surface AND added to the water rez keeps BTI in motion.

Cover the tops of your soil with sand. Boom problem solved. Then use your bt stuff and nematodes to to get the larva
