May 2014: SPECIAL OUTDOOR SALE OF SERIOUS 6

The new variety of Serious Seeds: SERIOUS 6 was ready in 2013 but for most people it was released too late to try them outdoor, that is a shame, because the outdoor grow is what she was originally developed for! During the past year we have received reports from customers growing Serious 6 INDOORS, stating that they had a problem with hermaphroditic plants. After analyzing the reports, we have seen that appr. 2 % of the plants are QUITE SENSITIVE TO STRESS, with hermies as result. Light stress seems to be a major factor to induce male flowers. Light stress is caused when the plants receive some light during the dark phase. Examples are little holes in the fabric of a tent, a small red light burning on an extension cord, a display on a humidifier or other electrical appliance in the grow room, or visiting the plants during the night. Things like that are stressful for plants. OUTDOOR there were no reports of hermies whatsoever, but few people had late male 'bananas' which didn't open during the last flowering week. At Serious Seeds we have been breaking our heads over the question what to do in this situation. Plants who turn hermie have always been excluded from the Serious' menu. But we believe that this Serious 6 plant may be worth its existence as outdoor plant; most people were very happy with their results. To be certain of this, we decided that we like people to try the Serious 6, but OUTDOORS only, and tell us their experience afterwards.
