starbud...I think?
Hey ICmag, especially hortilab, I'm pretty much on my first real grow, aside from a short experience in 2009 and having close friends who've been growing for a year and a half or so. I got a starbud seed as a freebie (attitude x-mas special 2014) and during veg I researched every strain I'd planted of a seed of deeply. I was most excited for starbud from most of the pictures I've been able to find, and because of how healthy she was throughout veg and her growth rate.
This plant looks different to me than every pic of starbud I've seen, though similar to starbud's sister. Mostly the coloring, I don't see very much purple in starbud pics I see, though I do see a little in some of them, and I see a lot more in the sister. I'm not complaining! just curious, is it possible I got a starbud sister as a freebie from attitude mislabeled as regular starbud? Am I just lucky with the pheno? it was labeled as feminized if that helps the detectives. |

oh yeah, I should have mentioned, it's day 60 of 12/12 (both now and the pictures) and she's in batch 64 moonshine soil, biocanna nutrients with added calmag, under a 315 watt cmh (philips elite agro 930/sunsystem lec 315) and a 75 watt led on each side of the cmh (two area 51 rw-75s), directly under the cmh. so the total wattage on the lights is 465 watts, high and low temps are generally about 80F-60F,

Starbud probably isn't even a real strain if I had to guess. It's just some mystery weed they got from someone and they can't even provide a description for how it smells or tastes on their website. It's probably just a whole bunch of resinous strains bred together just like DNA did with "El fuego".
Every single person that grows it gets a different result and there aren't many people who have grown it stateside. |
