As long as you don't injure root mass, break off branches in the process, you are good to go.

We've transplanted 100's in our 9.5 yr. span of breeding/growing. Make sure when you transplant, to have root ball in medium to ensure less stress on the plant.

One of our loyal customers here had to increase root size due to being root bound. He cut the bottom of his plant bag, separated the roots to be filled in larger container.

Autos don't like being stressed from root severing, branch/tip cutting.

Exactly.

Generally we place seeds in final pot, but have used styro/beer cups with holes in them, then transplanted to final container.

Bud knows....he grows sequoias, not to mention awesome veggie garden!!! He's grown some of our autos. The premise is the same be it autoflowers or photoperiod plants...give it an optimal environment, autos will prosper.

To be successful, have the best medium for the project...not knock off garden soil in a bag, cheap substrate (rock wool, dwc, coco), etc.

Our best have been DIY organic soil....not getting into intricacies(boo-koo miniscule elements)....just a good balance of soil with good comparative proportion of nitrogen to phosphate to potash, perlite, mycorrhizal fungi, sand....viola`!

Don't over water, don't over fertilize...autoflower plants have that unique "auto drive/auto pilot" feature. Treat them well...you'll get a good harvest.

I put my in 0.7l cocacola cups from mcdonalds, drill holes on bottom and they good to go... I think that todau autos are resistant as hell, i ad nute burn,ph lock, overwatering and still got +2oz per plant, but they took much muc had 8week strain harvest at her 12week,and trichomes were milky..
