Hawaii Pro-Cannabis Anti-Meth 2006 Initiative - Hawaii - International Cannagraphic Magazine Forums

Aloha,

Currently on the Big Island's County Agenda, Rev. Roger Christie from
THC Ministries, has written an anti-methamphetamine/ pro-cannabis law
that will be discussed for the ballot in November. The initiative can
be viewed at https://www.peacefulsky.com/

The initiative calls for the end of funding for cannabis eradication,
"Green Harvest", and funnels those resources into battling meth
crimes, and promote education on meth addiction. Essentialy, it would make
misdemeanor crimes, the lowest priority. In Hawaii, 24 plants or less
is a misdemeanor. Thus, 24 plants per each medical or religious user,
without having to be worried about the penguins coming to your door.
Currently, mmj patients are only authorized to grow seven plants, which
is by no means a adequate supply , for most folks.

Let him and the rest of the Board know, that meth is a problem, and
energy and resources would be better spent on meth erradication,
addiction recovery and education, rather than looking to criminalize
religious, medicinal and private users of cannabis. I have attached a

Just think, you could one day find yourself in paradise, and actually

Hawaii, you definitely want to support this initiative. As on the
mainland, prohibition against cannabis here in Hawaii, has created
other social issues, that are actually very dangerous and counter-
productive to society as a whole.

Rev. Roger Christie is a great guy. He is the real deal. "Ice" has destroyed a whole generation of young Hawaiians. Herb has been so opressed that Ice snuck in and killed countless thousands of lives. This is a great approach.

Roger is a very dedicated and true person. He's made a lot of headway when it comes to prohibition, and has set some major examples in Hawaii and many other places. I would love to see this resolution passed.

Finally, people are starting to notice there are far greater dangers than marijuana out there. I swear, the only way you could die from marijuana is if you got a pallet of it dropped on you.

I could see this being a good thing if they spend money on educating people of meth dangers, but if it's gonna support putting more people in jail for meth crimes that certainly doesn't make much sense. People should be allowed to use what substance they wanna use with out having to go to a cage for it, it is their lives after all.
