Grew the clone-only Grape Romulan in Mendo years ago. Given to me by a very good source. There was nothing Grape about it, it was good for commercial-strains, IMO, as it yielded well. The genetic was very mildew prone. I did not like or keep it. Also grew the original Romulan cut years before that, and it was the nicest (although unclassifyable) flavor ever. Once I was at a beach after surfing, burning a j, and unbeknownst to Me a couple I knew was walking the haul Road, and yelled out my name, cause they knew it was my rom they smelled as they walked by, even with the ocean breeze. haha. classic moment in cannabis land. THAT was a cut, amigos.

Stasis - it is Grape Romulan - ie GROM - Purple Indica x Romulan - and it didn't smell like artifical "grape" candy / chewing gum...

It smells like white grape juice and skunk - only thing I've ever grown with that particular smell. It has decent yields, I wouldn't call it a commercial production potential - but it is one of the frostiest plants around...bar none. And the high is very pick you up and borders on being a rush...I called it Martha Stweart weed - because I always found myself playing task master and cleaning and being busy while puffing it...

I think it's one of the better plants around. Perhaps you didn't have the right cut - or you didn't maximize it's potential some how?? (no offense intended)

GROM grown by Phillthy:

Ah, I got what you are saying now....and yeah...the Ix of the this line I have smoked was really good.

I tried 5 different phenos - and one really was POWERFUL smoke. Had full on body waves that made you feel like you were literally melting into the floor - but in a very stark contrast was also rather up and busy - to where you felt like maybe you'd feel better if you just ran a couple laps around the house...lol...

The combination of the two highs in one smoke was unreal - and totally unique - but it really was some crazy potent smoke.

Three of the other phenos were good / above average - and one was kinda blah...

But there is some great potential locked in the line itself with some really unique flavors - I'm sure you'll enjoy it!
