dont buy blumats, dont buy anything else till ya have a fat bag of weed. just put some seeds in some dirt and get some cfl twisty bulbs, yer mom has spares, ok i lied , buy a cheap light timer they cost 15 bux. ok , water in the seed, put light 6 inches away from the container, put the light timer on 12/12 , k 1212 from seed is easy and ya will have smokeable weed in as little as 75 days, longer starins take 90. i usualy see sex on plants around 26 days old on the average . so if ya add that up say 30 days veg then 50 or 60 days flower pow. the plant will veg under 1212 until it is mature enough to grow flowers no worries. id plant seeds all the time every week as i harvested weed every week from my closet. all ya need is a closet, and i used under my bathroom sink for clone and seed starter spot. ya dont have to spend money. no wonder yer mom is mad, how much did ya spend on that bubbler for the tea? if ya want herb then keep lights on 1212 and throw seeds in the soil, water and wait pow !

indeed. no need for bluemats doubledd, don't over-work on the plants, let them be, just provide for them the proper environment, they don't need pampering to grow, all they need is a proper environment.

small air pumps are less than twenty bucks and I have one left over from my hydro already and wouldn't need to purchase anything additional. organics is really inexpensive so not much money has been spent besides building the soil which I planned to recycle. just thought buying a blumat for $5 would potentially save me money in replacing super young plants with tender roots till they were a bit bigger and could handle overwatering and bounce back easier.

Dont just use your knuckle up top, stick your fingers in the drain holes at the bottom too. Whether I use my blumats or not, I stick my finger in all the holes at the bottom to judge moisture content. If none or very little soil falls after removing your finger your good. If soil comes out with your finger its too dry. Btw Blumats are amazing, and will improve growth rates of your plants once you properly dial them in, which isn't too hard.

If you want to hand water look into the Pulse-Method of watering. Its basically watering slowly with half of your nutrient solution or water, then waiting 5-10 minutes and giving the rest of the water slowly. If you have a strong root system, you can lift the plant up after the waiting period to see how far the solution has pentrated the soil. Then you can gauge how much more water or feed to provide after that.

I wasen't going to chip in on this clusterfuck of "advice", but had a hankering to mention this.

Scale back until you rely on no one but yourself, especially for financial inputs. The pressure to perform and the resulting anxiety is going to cause nothing but grief, for the plants and personal relationships.

Regardless of anything happening now, your postings show a perspective and frame of mind that will be fruitful in the end.

I dont see how you can call my advice a clusterfuck. I see nothing wrong with it. She clearly needs space away from her mom when it comes to growing.

How she can scale back more when she has a very small grow? Its only a couple of plants. But hey, I guess your advice makes more sense than my clusterfuck of "advice". In fact it kinda looks like you paraphrased much of my advice.

I guess it doesn't really matter as she's deleted her account. Its a shame. I wanted to see if things turned around for her.

You misunderstand, the clusterfuck refers to the four pages here as a whole. I quoted you because it highlighted what I wanted to say, and was one of the few useful comments here.

She can scale back until she can pay her own power re: independence.
