Hello there sticky,

You need a replacement power supply, the kind used for powering things like portable cd players and such. They have them at radio shack. You can run two fans off of one and it will work fine. They also have an adjustable power output, the higher the voltage the faster the fan. Alternately you can just use any old ones you might have lying around, 12v is good, but 9v will work too. Just stip the wires and connect the one with the stripe to the red wires of the fans and the one without the stripe to the black wires. The voltage is very low and will not hurt you so no worries, but do use wire nuts or wrap them in electrical tape. You can run two or more but each one you add will lower the speed of all of them. If you want them all to be fast you'll need a power supply for each.

Also if you are growing in a tub I would recommend just having a passive intake, active exhaust and a fan for air movement.

I think if you ask the guy/gal at Radioshack, they will be more than happy to help you. Just tell them what you want, not what u want it for (or lie and say it's for your PC Mods). Peace.

I just got three PC fans in the mail. They each draw 12v and 0.45a, which is 450mA. If I put two of those on there I would be at 900mA, which is 90% of the maximum. I don't think I'd want to go any higher than that, most places say use 80% or something but I'm not sure if it's as much of an issue here. I got my converters from https://www.surpluscenter.com/sort.as...06091508140600, they've got some good prices. If you only need one it'd probably be cheaper to go to radioshack, but I needed three so it worked out for me.

Do they make 110-120 volt ac ones? where to get them ? less converting to dc would be alot easier.

LIGHT BULB!!!! anyone ever think for using a battery charger for a car? mine has 2 - 10- 50 amp settings. i bet some one with a great background in ELECTRICS might be able to figure out the best way for this to work. or i guess u could just set it to like 10 amps and i bet u could run 4 of them off that?????
