Whoa, these clips look amazing, and they're pretty cheap to boot. Thanks for the tip, I just ordered a bag of five hundred for twenty and I'll get in there and redo everything when they arrive. (Nearest Walmart is like, sixty miles from me, we don't do Walmart in these parts ;p )

And because I'm in a picture taking mood here's my hilariously inefficient watering set up ![]() My RO system is downstairs since I'm paranoid of another flood, definitely don't want it happening upstairs. So I fill a five gallon jug with RO in the sink in case I get lit and forget (happens often enough) so the excess runs down the drain. Then each bottle gets measured out, jug is capped, twisted a time or two to mix it, then the next added in. Now that I've done this enough it only takes a couple of minutes and is a perfect little chore to do when the coffee is steeping. Carry the sucker up the stairs, dump into the trashcan and stick back in the sink to refill. Totally inefficient.

Spent some time reading a few photography and picture editing threads, so hopefully the shot quality starts improving here soon.
This is day 21 for the horizontal OGK under a 600w that runs during the day, mainly to keep the larger vertical tent from dropping under 72 when lights are off. They're about a week behind, originally these were all the rejects. I've also got some kind of flying bug cruising around in there. I crushed up some mosquito dunks and drop dressed with them, hand watered it in for about 10 days and stuck a yellow strip up, but they're still fucking around in there. Never encountered this before, what should I be looking for? Anyone have suggestions on clearing them out, or does it not matter?

I top dress with the dunks then turn the exhaust fans off for several nights with no pest strips on the floor fans. I triple the amount of them needed because they only work when enough vapor from them has built up in the air. About a half half hour before lights come on the exhaust fans turn back on. This will take a few days to kill the flyers.
If the don't fly away from you when you are in the room they are most likely fungus nats. If they fly away and hide they are most likely root aphids.

Another thing you can do is place a white bucket with soapy water under your light. The white blinds them and they fall into the water. You can then pull one out and scope it to tell what you have.

Turning the exhaust off at night isn't going to cause a problem (besides some rising rH)? If so, I have some Hot-Shot no pest strips sitting around and I'll definitely do this.
I just went and poked around in there and they're pretty lazy fliers... they don't hide if I disturb them and generally just float around the place like they own it, or something. Edit: I'll try the bucket thing too, I have a clean 3 gallon sitting around not doing anything.

Thanks y'all, I appreciate the good vibes.
Day 28 now, and since stretch stopped a week sooner than I was anticipating I dropped one of the veg weeks from the H&G schedule and will be using Top Booster through next Friday. Really hasn't been a whole lot to do once they were staked up. Left Right Just sorta stuck the camera in there for these

These pictures are from two days ago, on day 40. Today is day 42, end of week six. All of week six I've been using shooting powder at 13g per 5g of water, first adjusting A/B to 1.0EC (6ml/gal each), pH to 5.8 with ProTekt (3ml/g) then Bud-XL (4ml/g) and finally mixing the shooting powder in warm RO and adding it last. EC comes to 1.5 and pH goes from 5.8 to 6.2 after this.
The US site nutrient schedule originally called for 11.5ml/g of A&B + shooting powder which is just nuts - my final EC would have been 2.5 easy and I have no idea why that recommendation is there. Next run I'm already planning on cutting A&B back by a quarter of recommended since some dark green leaves were starting to appear towards the end of week five, there is just too much N in the H&G schedule. Unfortunately I was getting a bit lazy and didn't notice until it had progressed along a bit, so I've likely stunted them right as the powder started. Left Right And thank you, Ichabod! I managed to pick up two Hot Shot Pest Strips and stuck them on a circulating fan with the exhaust turned off for a couple of nights and a vast majority of the population was wiped out. I stuck them into a few zip lock bags in case they come back in force, if so, I'll do it again.
