do a side by side but dont bother comparing if half the expierment is done by another grower b/c there are too many variables that effect the end product.

is environment the same.......same high and low temp, rh, ventilation, mold, pm, bug infestation.

your on the right track but seem to be getting ahead of yourself. grow with the basic KISS (1 tsp maxi and tap H2o) and see how you like it then incorporate pk booster after you already have a baseline of what to expect from the genetics & nutes.

if your tap is high ppm then use 50/50 tap / ro and no need for cal/mag

if using all ro then use cal/mag.....not sure the rate to use it.

carbs / sugars or unsulphered blackstrap molassas is for the micro life in an organic medium and Salt based nutes dont support a micro life.....at least thats my understanding of why molassas is used. if you use it do it during flush.

silica is a good additive in any grow from clone to flush.


Remember this is K.I.S.S.

if you want additives the go Advanced Nutrients line but break out the cash.





one more thing.......i know you want info on additives but SOG, EVIL, IONI, TOHNITU all are more expierenced than both of us combined, went the additive rout, got consistant dank results then started using KISS with comprable results.

no need for me to expierment when others have proven basic KISS kills it.

That first posting also tells you that the whole philosophy behind the K.I.S.S. method is to keep things as simple as possible and that additives are superfluous, ...and it doesn't say shit about using liquid for veg and powder for flower, it says 1tsp of Maxibloom powder per gallon of water, period, ...then feed that too ALL your plants, mothers, vegging plants and those in flower, thats the whole fucking point!

...and sorry if I hurt your feelings grasshopper but HUNTING for answers is way easier, faster and more fruitful than WAITING for them, especially in regards to the fundamentals, thats how you pay your dues and earn respect, by finding the answers to the simple questions that have been asked MANY times on your own.

...so thats my lesson to you, 'give a man a fish and he eats that day, teach a man to fish and he eats every day'.

...and feel free to do a side-by-side test, ...and sharing your results would be another way to pay your dues and earn respect.

What wd you consider high? What wd. ya consider to be a total ppm of water to start with going in then?Either Tap water by itself or 50/50 as you say?

Someother guy LoL I take my info from experience growers who have been growing for the past 20 plus years....They keep it simple as well BUT know how to Kick it up some for some Better results than just the basics like adding one or 2 additives thats it... I don`t get your ideals that one has tyo stick with ONE and only one Nute... Ya can`t say that adding one or two units Can`t help out some

my tap is ~400 ppm....not sure what yr asking but yes use a 50/50 tap/h20 if you have a high ppm from tap.

dont own an ec / ppm meter but you want 0 ppm before adding nutes but using tap or tap/ro you will not be at 0 ppm.

anything over 300 is considered Hard.

but anything in the 300-400 range isn't going to have enough metals in it to cause any kind of lockout

I routinely use tap water that hovers in the 330's with no problems

YEah thats where mine is at most times as well 320/340

i have to use 50/50 tap / rain water b/c there is so much bleach / chlorine in my h20.

turn the shower on and you can smell bleach in the livingroom......my county said fuck purifying the water, just add more chlorine.

fill a 5 gal bucket with tap, add airstone, bubble 24+ hr and there is still a strong bleach smell. forget making ice tea, shit taste nasty. brushing your teeth w/bleach h20 is a Redneck Tooth Whitening regime. ya gotta love backwoods redneck florida.
