Grafting?

Hmmmm,.... Started my first grafting thread on another cannabis site 8 months ago in search of an ultimate "Mother" plant,......

WOW have I learned a bunch since then,.... mostly how many way's you can FAIL!!!!!

So bear with me while I drink too much and try to figure out where to start this thread/Grow log.

For tonight given that I've got work to do in the garden, and work in the morning that i can't be late for, I'll just lead off with some pics of the primary plant in question that this log will be following thru flower.

Pic 1: The graft joint, yes it's healed and the graft is growing, I'll get into details of how I did it later in the thread.
Pic 2: The whole plant. I Flower SCROG, so during Vege I train my plants, the grafted node is just LEFT of the timer that can be seen in the background.

Thanks for joining this discombobulated joy ride!

Girls in the room are fed, tied down and locked back up,

Now it's time to see if I can find the pics from my GraftoMum's creation.

I have always wondered about grafting w/ marijuana.. never heard of anyone doing it.. Its been a really long time since I did grafting/ studied plant propagation..
Anywho, grafting would make it so 2 strains are growing on 1 plant right.. not combine the strains/genetics??

By my ride with what i've done over the last 8 months,.... Yes, it makes 2 plants on a single stalk, or in the case of my mother plant, 4 plants,.....

But as far as genetic drift THRU the graft,.... So far the clones taken from the grafted mother,... they all rooted, veged, and flowered the same as a clone taken from a pure strain mother.

I've started this thread to not only address that topic but to also handle what happens if you FLOWER a multi strain plant, (I'm shooting low, only 2 strains on 1 stalk )

Thanks for your interest daheadies, I'm interested to hear ANYTHING from ANYONE else who has grafted MMJ and their experience with doing so!
