![]() So the Hypro cut is another pheno of the SSH too ? Coz I grew the Amnesia Haze from Hypro (seed form) and they were (almost) nothing alike the "Core" cut... Much more hazy, Neville style, pepery, an aftertaste of amnesia and also quite powerfull but not the same growth structure at all, much closer to most Jack phenos I grew...definitely not the same genetics... ![]() Karma, how long was the flowering of your Amnesia cut ? (the one presented at the cup.) Would the commercial growers of south Holland that provided the Amnesia to the coffee shops really grow the cuts to the 12 weeks the Core cut takes to be fully developped ? |

Its not my cut, as i didn't select it
. That cut flowers 11 to 12 weeks, The core cut flower 9,5 to 10 weeks. not 12 weeks. Yes the comercial growers grow that cut, Comes down at 9 weeks when your lucky you get it fully finished at 10. |

But you say you flower the "Core" cut only to 10 weeks, or to 11 to 12 ??? Now I'm confused... The Core cuts we grew in my community were all taken to 12 weeks... I tried to cut a few stems at 10 and 11 once, but it was clearly not finished properly by then... If we're talking about the same cut, the Amnesia Core received from Moppel, you got to try it at 12, it's a whole world of difference in taste and power

But to me, Soma's NYCD should not be considered an ECSD copy like Rezdog is selling his Sour Diesel IBL. There is a slight Diesel taste in many NYCDs, but nothing close to the real Sour Diesel cut. I for one, prefer the NYCD than the East Coast Sour Diesel cut, I'm in love with fruity/candy flavors over dank and roadkill skunk smells (but that is strictly a matter of personal taste, I'm not even comparing the highs). The structure of both (NYCD & ECSD) show some similarities, but you can clearly see the genetics are quite different. Similar traits are the bud shapes (balls rather than long buds), both make donkey ears but the calyxes shapes are quite different, the ECSD has huge individual calyxes while the NYCD is stacking them together, both stretch a lot (the Soma cut growing at my place is taller than my Amnesias/SSH and Celestial Temple Sativa growing next to them) and I remember the ECSD cut as having huge internodes too (don't use Giberelic acid on those 2 ). Also the dried pistil's colors are very different. The NYCDs dried buds have more of a red/brown hue on dark green matter, while the ECSD has more like "invisible" or green pistils, a bit like the Cheese (Exodus) cut...Oh and the ECSD stings a lot in bloom, more so than the NYCDs : also the smell while drying is sooo strong that I started to use a carbon filter in my drying dark room... As I was drying my weed in my living/computer room where I stand all day, I was getting really sick with the smell of 2 weeds specifically : ECSD and Cheese. Now I can't even grow them without having to puke
