yes i use depression meds but there is a little-known side effect called "SSRI withdrawl syndrome."

i have never felt so werid as when i had this SSRI withdrawl happen to me.....it is like extreme vertigo mixed with extreme exhaustion accompanied by homicidal and suicidal thoughts.....

yes that's right Eli-Lilly....i hope you pharmaceutical vultures are listening but probably not as this is a Cannabis fan-site......i have never never never ever nurver had a homicidal thought until i came off of my anti-depressant.....

hear that kids? stay away from pharmie anti-depressants......

the good news is that Cannabis completely gets rid of SSRI withdrawl symptoms.....i don't know why all i know is that it is a fact......so if you lose your meds and are panicking i hope you have some Cannabis on hand.......for real B.....-gp

I hear ya GP.
I felt as if I was coming out of some kinda cocoon.
Almost like something really evil was leaving my soul.
I even had heart troubles detox'ing from it.

That article is great!
Thanks for the info.
It has been mass emailed to my contacts.

i take 75mg Effexor once daily with ~ .5 - gram of marijuana and it works wonders. I had SSRI withdraw when i got off (hmm what one was i on at that time, Zoloft? or maybe wellbutrin who knows i was on so many diff anti-depressents cause none of them worked that well) well either the wellbutrin or the zoloft i when i went off it i went ballistic. HUGE panic attacks homicidal and suicidal thoughts, i went crazy for around a week or two, WORST two weeks in my life, thought i was turning schitzo!

I'm with GP also, hence my user name. The thought of bouncing off a mini-tramp into a large tree chipper/shredder had never been a comforting thought until weaning off Prozac.

yeah Zilaniz you and me share the same anti-depression medicine.....unfortunately Effexor is one of the worst medicines when it comes to "SSRI withdrawl syndrome".....hopefully you will have some Cannabis on hand if you happen to be unable to fill your prescription.....i know what you mean about thinking you are going crazy!!!

I am beginning to think that all these SSRI drugs are only effective in the short-term....once your brain becomes used to the different levels of neurochemicals, everything will be fine and dandy until you happen to skip a day......if this happens i suddenly experience extreme vertigo, as if i am "winking" in and out of this plane of existence....then i start sweating and suffer extreme exhaustion......after that comes the schizophrenic thoughts including uncontrollable "homicidal" thoughts which are so very strange to a peaceful person like myself......

if i could go back in time i would probably never have gotten on this drug.....but the drug did help me deal with thoughts of depression and suicide......really the most effective in the short term.....you must take advantage of the short-term effects and make changes in behaviour and lifestyle that promotes a healthy mental balance....

-kind regards from guineapig

I'd say be careful of the Effexor. Many... Many people have experienced aggression with this drug. Pharmie drugs in themselves aren't bad it's just that there's right and wrong applications. Not every drug reacts the same with every person. You just have to get familiar with yourself to know when it's the wrong application for you. Trust your doctors and share with them what you are experiencing. Effexor put me in a rage. Turned me from Mild Bill, into Wild Bill. I discontinued use pronto. That's just me though good to hear it's working for you Zilanis.

Pharmies are fucking scary man. Unless i truly need it and its a proven medication that doc aint even prescribing that shit to me. Pill happy docs get the boot from me before they can get off the Vikez and realize how scary these new meds really are.

Recently A guy i listen to on the radio's friend Had a condition which he was prescribed medication. It went fine and he used it for a while and then the doctor switched him over to a new one that was supposed to be better. He thought "doc knows best" and then popped the shit went home took a shower and had a seizure.

The glass in the shower was broken but that dident mean shit. The seizure was so violent his head was apparently smashing the tub. Investigators believed he was cut from the glass and severly beaten from the seizure. He woke fell on the glass that he had just broken and draged himself to the telephone. He passed out again and litterly blead to death in his sleep in two differnet sessions of sleep over a long period of time.

That isnt how im goin out because of someone telling me "this shits good for you".

Stop spreading fear. Some people here have real medical conditions.

He is not spreading fear, it is truth. Pharmaceutical companies mix up synthetic chemicals into drugs that are not meant to be ingested by the human body, and doctor's tell their trusting patients to take them. This creates more problems which leads to needing more drugs. It's all about the money. They created just about every disease out there in one way or another.

With some research, you can find a natural cure or treatment for most anything.

Organic MJ comes straight from the earth, and does no harm.
