jws0007 I hear ya brother. My seeds were large and quite pale. Which, I hear is normal for Deep Chunk. I attempted to germinate five Deep Chunk seeds from RichardWilliams ( Paper towel method in a zip lock bag hanging an inch and a half from my computer monitor ) . I always have a high germination rate using that method for germination. However, with the DC's I was only able to get two to germinate. The three that did not I put into rapid rooters placed above a heat mat. They have not popped ( been over a month now, I am going to give up on them ) .

Ok, now for the two seeds that germinated... They both hit their first set of leaves ( the round ones, not serrated ) and that is it. They have been stalled at that state for a month now. All my other strains that I started from seed are thriving.

I took a look at their root structure and it is nearly non-existent. All white, which is good but there is hardly anything there. Not much hope for these, gonna try and germ the other five that I have and hope for better luck.

DC germination

well folks this is all very intriguing as on sunday i put a 10 pack from the same batch in a wet paper towel in a bowl in my cupboard and today, two days later Im at 7/10 so far. So I am a bit perplexed on peoples low success rate. I would suggest anyone having no success to keep their original baggies as proof of purchase.

RW, no sweat man. Just luck of the draw. It is always a gamble with seeds. I only started with one pack. Some have better luck than others. I will post my results with the next five.

better luck should be had

Well thats sweet of you to be understanding, though I would have liked this to be a more successfull release, with my DC hybrids I have had nothing but great comments so I am suggesting folks hold onto their richardwilliams dc baggies and I will try and work out a bonus seed giveaway program through Dutchgrown that will give folks that were not lucky with this release to have a free try out of one of my hybrids, most likely my Deep Congo line. I am guessing in this more Northern climate than DC is originally from that I should have bred them up here a couple more generations to acclimatize them.

Hey Richard Williams, do have any idea when you will have more Deep Chunk seeds for sale? Seems that no one has them!!
