have a fan blowing air onto your hps bulb, honeywell fans are very good for this purpose because how they push the air into a beam sort of.

Basicly when you use blumats the node senses when the coco is drying up and then let it drip til it's moist again.. I don't think anyone have had problems with root rot

Yeah, just buy a cheap pc fan, or simply harvest one from an old computer. It's easy to power up, either connect it with an usb cable or an old cellphone charger

i personally use blumat with coco, works basicly like hydro in growth speed etc. coco is awesome.
