pentahydrate means its contains 5 water molecules, and anhydrous means its without water

"The pentahydrate contains "water of crystallization" and hence is less concentrated than the anyhydrous....

keeping your grow area dust and smoke free increases the lifetime of your filter alot, you should always have that white outer prefilter on, it will keep most of the larger particles from clogging up...
