hi there. Curly leafs could just be in the genes. But the purple branches indcate cold weather imo. I had small curly leafs and purple stems in my round 8 wich can be viewed in my siganture.

Plant 1 looks recovered but it was smaller so the roots never got as big as those of plant 2 and 3. Now plant 1 is the same size and green while 2 and 3 look pale-ish.
