how long dose molassas last for? shelf life not in soil but in the bottle

Molasses should last quite a while. As a matter of fact I just had some Brer Rabbit on a piece of bread last night....the bottle was opened over 3 years ago :yummy:

From what I've read on here, pure molasses is an anti-fungal and anti-bacterial. I believe it can crystallize, however.

Probably only crystallizes as it gets older b/c it gets a bit dehydrated. Remember, sugar is FULLY and EASILY soluble in water, so I find it highly unlikely it would ever crystalize in the soil. The microlife would eat it all up before that could ever happen, either that or water will just wash it out.
