i have been thinking of leaving my state of witch hunt republican leaning state that persecutes the sick. i live in Jerry Falwell land of nothing goes down with out the churches consent .and i feel i can not live in this kind of every one is a religious fanatic. thinking medical mj is from the devil.

i am 43 years old .i had a on the job fall 30 feet .had multiple burst fractures from the fall. went to uva after corrupt doctors would not hear me on how much pain i was in. tried to send me back to work.
so i went to a specialist and he said i needed back surgeries or i could end up peralized by a later trauma. ended up getting diabetics. high blood pressure. and a range of other crape that keeps me in pain and i have no reason to believe i would not qualify for a license to grow my own meds .i am on disability and was wondering do they have services in the state . affordable housing to let me grow my meds and just live what little time i have left .
i am on medicare .i have worked all my life .till this .

is there any program's i could get in touch with to talk to .that could help with my situation. right now i am on 40 mg oc,30mg roxy . i was growing small but thay came and took my stuff .but did not charge me with nothing. i have plenty of genetics which they did not get and i have started to buy the stuff i need to grow just what i need . any help thanks

CO varies.... Boulder is expensive (still nothing like parts of CA), Commerce City not expensive. How much can you pay for rent/mortgage?

I'm sure you could get a rec for mmj.

There are lots of places with cheap housing out here. It might not be posh but it's cheap and a home. Look in longmont,Greeley,Pueblo.

I would stay out of seCtiOn 8 housing (sorry for the spelling search engines and all) you would be eligible and might pay $10-20 a month because of your disability and mediCAde however it's state or goberment housing and growing in one of those places might not go over well???

And you getting a card would be a walk in the park! I have a DR that charges very little for people on disability. We also have many of the best back surgeons in the country in this state. Some have disc study programs for treatment or surgery for free or very little cost.

Maybe start at our state website. If you need any thing else just ask! Peace and puffs

I forgot to add the cost of living is cheap. I buy from the farmers market's and get free range chicken, hogs, beef from one guy. We have a lot of independent farmer's and packing houses that sell right to the public. Rainbow bread has outlets around for cheap muchies and bread at a good price... Peace and puffs

If you want to get away from city life, find a nice liberal mountain town, maybe even on the Western Slope. Steamboat Springs is a great area. Somewhere you can be semi-rural, but still close to the grocery store, grow store, etc. Somewhere where your neighbors will actually be friendly, and maybe even help you trim!

Getting your mmj license is no prob. 20 year olds get 'em out here for a stubbed toe...youl'll be fine

I'm originally from the east coast, near D.C. It's much cheaper here compared to the DC metro area. But you said Falwell area - I've been to that town, but can't remember the name. Pretty much the cost of living would be comparable unless you wanted to live downtown in the major metro areas in CO (major for CO at least - personally I think Denver is a small town which likes to think it's big)

Depends on your setup, a walk in closet for personal is much different than 2 bedrooms with as close to 100 as your plant count allows....

Another thing is if you are willing to rent or do you want to buy? live in an apartment or duplex, youll save some serious money, but have to deal with landlords, and have less work space. If you live outside of boulder youll save money (but lose security)

To buy <1 acre of land, move a mobile home onto it, and fill up/run a room with closet full of plants, in boulder co, is 20-25k. ft. collins and loveland are cheaper. Thats the lowest end owner situation I can come up with. Of course if you know the right people, you can save there also. I havent done it yet, im just planning the same thing you are, and this is what ive come up with.

mobile home is the way i would go. i do not want any one poking around . i am very good at fixing things . i have been growing since 2002 and i have a home box xl to start a 600 dig.a 250mh plenty of lights which they left a years of jlp seeds .my own crosses some old bog genetics .and some new stuff . all and all i just want to move and be around good folks who grow where we can sample and trade clones and eat and do my own breeding . get into helping with the movement and just live what life i have in happiness and peace. i was born hear but never felt like home because i have lived in Minnesota,ky,Florida. when growing up but ended up in Jesus land . they try to push it on to you when you want to live your life the way you believe. i saw a doctor one time in my town after i had all this bolts screws and crap places in my back and i was trying to get something to help with my pain and he told me to pray. that's what i am up against. i was more in spirituality when i was smoking my kalimist then any time i was in a church. and that's the truth.
