Hello,
I recently saw a claimed organic product called "leonardite." Here is a sum of what i found about it on the net:
* min. 50% organic matter, min 40% humic & fulvic acid, and %10 moisture.
Leonardite is said to be the most abundant organic humic acid source, and it's cheap. Also called, "plant coal," leonardite is basically a "semi-coal" which cannot go through a complete decomposition to coal because of insufficient depth.
Leonardite helps soil aeration around the roots and increases soil permeability, retaining water at the same time! It keeps soil warm and prevents nutrients from getting away from around the roots and acts as a chelating agent. It also buffers the soil pH.
