Howdy family,

The other night Mountain passed away.
He was driving in the rain and went off the road.

[EDIT]
Mountain helped make J1 - Jack x Sk#1 available to the public.
[EDIT]

My buddy, Happy Dayz, was really close to him and is real torn up.
He is hoping someone might have a picture of him. Mountain never liked having his picture taken so he's having a tough time finding just one picture - he needs to see his face one last time.

If anyone can help PM or email me

Feel free to post any memories of Mountain or any of his gear you have or have worked with

Seeds of J1 have been found.

My buddy Happy will be keeping this masterpiece alive.

He's going to rename it Mountain's J1.

Found out a little while ago when I logged onto skunk for first time in awhile...I think thcvh was the one who broke the news to me there..I knew G for awhile...met him thru icmag and met up w him about 07...first project we did together was GDP x c99(if I remember right)..he was a stand up guy who was more concerned with spreading cannabis genetics and sharing the love, knowledge, and spirit for life he possessed...he was so stoked to see j1 spread thru California like wild fire...never needed credit or props...but he got them from those in the know regardless...I am so thankful for knowing him and I will miss him...I will never forget him...he lit the fire in me to make my own seeds and taught me a lot...he was a sensitive dude and was in and out around here...never could stand kids talking shit...the San Diego crew owes a lot to mountain...and he will always be respected around our parts...

Thank you everybody, and thank you SubRob for sharing.

I never got to meet him. My best friend here, Happy was Mountain's best friend. Mountain actually transformed Happy - he used to be known as the Ice Man because he was so cold and contained and it was Mountain who first started calling Happy, Happy.

Yes, these genetics will be preserved so they can be spread freely as Mountain had always wanted and done. His contests at Skunk forum are of legend so there will be some there and I will also do the Server Fund thingy once seeds are available.
This will take a bit of time but I will keep popping in here to give updates.

I edited the original post / first post to reflect the truth.
I'm sorry I was incorrect. I actually found it was easy to find Mountain saying that it came from Holland.

Happy will be receiving J1 beans then he and his buddies will work to preserve the line and then pass Mountain's J1 around as Mountain did. Of course, anyone who has the clone is invited to contribute to Mountain's memory.
I will let you know when the project starts.
Happy will be orchestrating this project but the aim, I believe, is to have this as open-sourced as possible (Project Venus).

Still, if anyone has pictures of Mountain/G****el, Happy and Mountain's friends are always seeking more pictures.

I knew someone named Mountain, when I lived in Eugene, OR.

I worked with him at a Co-op. He was by far the biggest stoner there.

He had a line, I'll never forget:
"The big problem here is that people aren't getting stoned ENOUGH!"

Could that be the same guy? His girlfriend at the time was named, "Moon".

Oh, and this was back in the late '70s.

Sorry Skip, I don't know.

Unfortunately, I never got to meet Mountain.
He was like a brother to several of my friends though.
