Space needed to dry 1kw HPS worth of bud?

I looked but could not find. When hanging harvest from a 1kw hps, how much space will I need?

Am I doing something wrong or is this information listed on the site in a way I did not search for?

Thats damn near impossible to answer, your harvest could be anywhere from an ounce to a pound dependent on your skills, plant count and limitless other scenarios. So thats a question pretty much no one can answer. Look at how much you got and look for something accordinly is the best answer i can give.

I'd say if you can't fit your harvest in there then that's an awfully good problem to have

I would opt for the larger room then as you won't have to worry later. Is this your first grow?

Id go with as much space as possible. ...
Its all depends on if u hang whole plants (best for taste smell), branched, or trim wet n put nugs on a rack (least amt of space)
Off of 1k u could expect 1lb if ya new n dont know much n make mistakes. ... 2 dialed... best i ever got was 3.25 if u dial in the right strain... since ur space will not beable to be expanded go big cuz u will improve. ..

Do you remember how much space that took up while hanging? ?'x?' approximately? It would not be good to have the space I built special be too small. Bigger is better but space is not unlimited.

Goal is 'enough for all possibilities' with some room to work/move and space between branches, yet without gross excess of space.

Harvest style is to cut branches, wet trim and then hang dry.

Expect a pound of weed on a stem to be a lot bigger than what I looks like in a bag. Each bud with a stem hanging.

If you need a drying area go to the moving store and get a few wardrobe boxes. Has the clothes hanger bar. Then get a bunch of clothes hangers. Could prob make 1 a double and add a bar too....

Watch the humidity. Leave it open.

Are there really that few people who harvest 3.5lbs and trim/hang it to dry? Maybe 4lbs?

Advice on makeshift methods do not help find dimensions for a built-in, non-changing room that must be big enough but not take up excessive space. I thank you for your time.

Come on guys.... isnt there a formula for this somewhere you could give him? Like x is density y is diameter z is its not rocket science....

Do you anticipate curing in that room as well? Might consider adding a curing space to control odours.

Fwiw most of the tent guys u see will get 2 tents (2k) in one tent. On the other hand I tend to create a room that is completely conditioned and around the same size as whatever bloom room is filling it. This gives me a bit of room to get in there and check on stuff.

You will never be sorry you have more room, but if it's not conditioned don't bother, smaller is better with no mechanical systems in place to condition the environment, that's why the tent guys like a tent, they throw a portable ac in there and call it good.
