Just curious how people handle air travel within Canada with your medication/medical documents. Carry on? checked luggage? how does the experience differ from MMAR to MMPR if any?

apologies if this has been covered before, but i haven't seen anything since the injunction on this topic.

just curious.

thanks.

From what I heard you can travel with it. Definately in canada. I believe there is a application you nees to have approved first. Might even qork to other countries. Just not sure. Pretty sweet deal eh?

A few yrs back i checked with health canada.
They told me to inform the airline when i booked my ticket.
So I did....and the ticket agent stepped back, and with a very frightened look on his face said "i don't want to know that kind of info"

After that i just vacuum seal, put in my carry-on and wrap a copy of my licence around it.

As long as you don't pack it in the shape of a gun or bomb they wont even take a second look.

Yaa...no. The mmar paperwork clearly stated you were not allowed to take your meds out of country, and were not allowed to receive meds from out of country.

guess was wondering how they handle the MMAR stuff now considering all the licences are 'expired' on paper, and i would expect none of the people at security would know about the injunction.. but i guess if they don't notice, which isn't surprising at all, it would never come up.

thx for the info

Wonder do these guys even look anything up? Or do they just look at a piece of paper and let you go?

I checked in the first time I flew , the girl just waved me thru after some confusion, after that u just have copy of license ready. Do you have to check in Percocets or Valium...I try and treat my meds the same

I often wonder about this as well. If I ever had any trouble I would explain that there's a temporary injunction and that our shitty government is appealing the decision because they're misguided assholes.

I always wonder if anyone with an "expired" MMAR has run into legal trouble and what the outcome was.
