Trimming question

I'm very unsure on how much/little to trim this scrog. Ive done a good trimming below the screen. But what about abbove? So far ive only been tugging large leafs under, so the smaller tops can break through. It's my first indoor grow, so this is all learning for me. Thank you in advance :)

Two first pics is the same top.

Cut anything that is not getting light or else you'll be left with small larfy buds that are a pain to trim. Just imagine a line a cut everything off below it.

Job done. I might trim a few more fan leaves at the top. But waiting a couple of days to see what happens. You can see the result of my trim in my journal, in a few minutes :)
Look at my fancy cutter. Two table knives taped to it. Or i couldn't reach the back of the room...lol :)

looks nice and clean

I know it's a hot button topic but I don't think you can defoliate enough (well...within reason)

That question had to come i guess :p
The majority of the lower stem trim was done in veg. The rest during the now first two weeks of flowering. Should have been done before yes. But i'm still learning :)

Thanks for the kind words all :)

Leaf pruning advice.

So always error on the side of caution when learning this technique cause pulling off too much too fast can completely stall growth and reduce yields all the way down to 25% of expectations if taken too extreme.

My advice is to only take 10% of the sun leaves off at any given day. the leaves that overlap each other causing a potential wet pocket for mold to start can be pruned. Also take the large leaves that cover light penetration to bud sites. Remember the 10% rule and go slow.

About once a week if u already have pruned the sucker branches, like u have, then u will only need to take a select leaf or two per canopy area(10% per plant so not to stall them), covering bud sites.

It's just amazeballz (My better halfs prefered saying) to see the amount of help and support you get in here. I am so here to stay. I hope that i one day can pay back to the community in the same way :D

The trimming. It's kinda fun. In your head you can actually picture what makes sense to do. Finding the nerve to carry it out, is something else though..... But that's where you guys fit so perfectly in ;)
