Two is better than one. Then we can put our heads together, and grow that super crop :peacock:

Were on the same island, if ya ever need any help just ask away. Started thinking about my timeline an don't think I will go full organics this next run. I don't have time to cook dirt so it's gonna be coco again next run. If ya wanna go coco next run I can show ya the ropes an walk ya through it. It takes the guessing outta growing as long as you follow a few simple rules to it.

When you do. Right now I'm not up with rules, and more like getting my hands dirty and watching 'em grow. I'm just going to go with the FFOF again, and this time nutes mostly in veg, and then cutting way down in flowering. Somewhere towards the last few weeks of flowering I screwed up. Maybe they shouldn't get any nutes at all towards the end.

Anyway, so far the WW is tasting good, and I like when the high hits you like 15 minutes later. Harvesting Plant #1 any day. Gonna' let the rest cure and hopefully improve on the taste, but pretty good so far. I like making "moonshine".

Right on, will do. Ya ever thought about brewing teas to add as your nutes? I know fox farm has alot in it already an most cut it with light warrior or the likes.

I don't see why he doesn't just mix it in to cook before use. I'm a Organic noob though, an I know this works top feeding. Interesting thread to say the least. I got Killer Queen that he runs too, an he grew them proper. Dude has more going on than he's saying. I'm sure if ya pick his brain he would show ya his way. Curious what his base soil is.

Yea, he's a bit cryptic. He adds castings and mulch (and whatever lol) to prime the soil before planting, but just like you would with any garden, you want to keep replenishing the nutes for a healthier and stronger result.

A quick update about "big sister", I harvested yesterday. I watered the day before hoping to plump up the buds. It'll take a bit longer to cure, but with the necrosis setting in like it did with the twins, I just went for it. Sorry I don't have any pics. I got a decent yield. I'm looking to get a bigger crop next time. Not sure if the change to the 8/16 schedule made a difference, so in the future I'll let them stay on 12/12. I'll be starting my 2nd grow this weekend, and I'll look to improve on what I've learned so far.

Happy farming!

2nd Grow Progress

2nd Grow Progress

I'm going to just continue this thread, and change it to "2nd Grow Progress." I'm sure the assists and tips from you guys will help me make my 2nd run a success.

Just started another 2 beans. One seed was looking nice and plump, and the other was slightly smaller. After planting them, the bigger seed couldn't be doing any better (the one on the left). The other had some trouble getting out of it's shell, so I used some tweezers to pop its top off.

After getting more familiar with the properties of the Fox Farms Ocean Forest, I've decided to go with their Grow Big and Tiger Bloom, along with the Big Bloom. Since my first effort ran into some trouble after the tea I fed them towards the end of flowering, I'm looking to go through the entire process with a bit more caution. I figure that the ferts Fox Farm makes should work well with the FFOF. FYI, I found out that FFOF gets more acidic after a few months, which is why it's recommended to use only fresh bags of soil, rather than using something that you've had around for a few months. I'm going to take some of the leftover, and line the bottom of my bigger pots with it for a bit of a nitrogen boost once the roots get bigger once I replant.

When I started growing, I originally wanted to go only organic, but after having flushed the previous 2 plants, I find it's not such a big deal. That, and the many other things I've learned from members and posts here at icmag should help me get those big plump buds. Btw, the smoke from the from the "big sister" of my 1st grow is pretty nice.
There's no reward better than a job well done.

Feel free to chime in. Thanks again for all the help.

Yes you can but that's to much work 4 me. I dig an prefer indica too, that's what my current moms are. I do dig a nice sativa to smoke though but they are best suited for outdoors. Indoor is possible though, but with our rates it would cost to much to produce meds.

Considering sativas appear to be harder to grow, I think I'll stick with the WW for now and see if I can improve on the basics. Ja Art, that's definitely true about the rates. I'm going to try topping this time, since these seedlings seem to be a lot more robust.

Thorn, have you grown any sativas indoors, and if so how much overhead space do you think would be needed?

Just repotted the 2 seedlings. They're going like gang busters, and already very pungent. These beans did much better than the the first 2 imo.

I ran the seedlings under the T5's, but just switched to the HPS lamp. I want to see if there's any difference. Something I learned at the end of my first go around is that even if you PH your water at the start, when you come back to it even just a couple of days later, it's as though I never PH'd the water at all. Is this common knowledge? I was under the assumption that once I adjusted the PH at the start, I'd be done with it. Apparently this is not the case.

Feeling pretty good about this run. I'm going to be a bit more careful this time.
