most popular and expensive strains to buy(buds)

haze, diesel (headband, sour), kush, GSC, purples with some potency.

kush is still the king of LA imo, GSC is the new crack

In NYC uptown haze fetches ludicrous prices, upstate is still on the sour deez and AK47.

S. Florida Candy, Triangle, Black Haze, TK and some others are exotic top dollar strains in the south.

Up in BC if you are extremely lucky I hear you can still find Joes Romulan cut.

CO. has been seeing alot of OG hybrids and there is a Flo cut that damn near every club has. Not to mention all the cali remakes coming out of the rockies like 303 headband and kush etc.

my buddies across the pond tell me that the newest and best cheese hybrid is the suicide cheese and that the white s1 that is AKA Nightmare Kush is even better than the original. Psycodelicious is another one that people go far out of thier ways for in the UK.

hope this helps :tiphat:

take care and stay safe'

They can. Gotta Call'em "jillybean Diesel" and "Vortex Kush" and watch them fly.

That's the truth I can barely give this stuff away because it is not called kush, og, diesel or whatever the latest hype is and doesn't have little rock hard indica nuggets

What he said ^

If it's not any of the above, it's hard to get top dollar in the bay area. It's crazy, but it doesn't matter how nice the herb is. If it's not kush/sour/chem/or cookies. It will be hard to sell. People have been saying for years that the sour was done, but I don't think so.

Just had a Peach x SD. That was very unique. If I showed it to anyone, the first thing they would say is that it doesn't smell like sour. Then they'd ask for some sour/chem/kush. It's crazy like that.

I want some Willie Nelson, pre98 Kali Mist, Oaxacan. Something exotic!

Im told um my ecsd was kush. they believed me. I told um my chocolate rain was cocoa kush. they believed me. they didnt want the uk cheese, because they said it was chocolope. They didnt want the whitewidow X og kush (aka wush), because they said it was GDP. New Yorkers man, sheesh.....

im hearing the most expensive cut in the bay right now, that is in high demand, is the Sherbert....supposedly multiple single clones of Sherbert and another new one from the cookies crew called NuWave are being sold for as much as ten grand a piece....these may be the next trends after cookies becomes played out...after that, supposedly, its the Amazon, another new cut that is low yielding but super super greazy.....reminded me of a lowering yielding looking chem 4 when i saw it all frosted over next to Blue Cookies, a super nice cut of SFV, the NuWave and a damn nice cut of Candyland, which was prolly my second favorite to smoke, once cured, after the SFV....put those in glass for a couple weeks and the nose and taste explode out the buds....brings a smile to face everytime....To me, one of the best cuts in the bay is an old cut that i believe now goes by "Three Kings", a three way cross of OG, Sour Diesel, and a west coast Headband (Not sure if its the 707 cut or what, was just assured, it was not the east coast cut with chem, ss, and nl....This shit is super LOUD and rarely seen...its the OG of Sour cuts....I used to get it ten years ago, just called 'diesel', it always looked the same, big pieces, not super dense, kinda waffley, and spongy, with a lighter lime green color and almost pink colored thick hairs.....it was super greasy and the unconceable smell and over the top concentrated matching candied, sour fuel flavor.....mmmmmmm one smell and taste and even the most picky of heads will nod their heads "yes", thats the stuff right there.....thats stuffs the truth....in the west hollywood area this bud was known as 916 Kush and was one of the specialty house strains at the Alternative Herbal Health Services dispensaries....The Land of AHHS is now closed down in both SF and LA from what I can tell....but I believe the clone is still around and very tightly held by sf and sac crews....I know the trend in the Bay right now is Cookies, but this Three Kings cut of Diesel blows it out of the water.....its just not that common of a find and I dont think it is too well known....If Cookie lovers got just one taste of a good batch of this Diesel, they would say bye bye to GSC, the finished product is so much better imo....now from a growers stand point, the gsc wins with her better structure and extreme beauty when in full bloom....gsc from a growers stand point is a killer plant to grow, other than the yield of course, and this may be one of the reasons there is such a lot of cookies around....to me, i could taste the og in the cookies, the very first time i smoked it and I still to this day believe that the og kush it self is a better smoke....i think the finish is nicer on it (purple colors do little for me btw) but the og is a picky mofo bugger to grow with its shittty structure, bitchy temperment, and its over sensitivity to stress...shes a pain in the ass....I always thought half the reason cookies was real popular was cuz you got the bag appeal of an og type nug, with the possiblility of purple coloring and much less problems for the grower to clone and run, who is rewarded with one of the prettiest looking plants you may ever see, if you nail it and give her what she needs and take her to full term....cookies is one of the few strains I seen that there was a night and day difference in one week...9 wk finish is ten times better than the 8 week nugs....so, keep your hands out the cookie jar till they all done! haha

in short, to stick to the title of the tread, it all depends on where you are and how much access you or that area has in variety....I can tell you that in the Bay Area, for years....it was a purple scene it seemed...yeah there were lots of different strains around, but before the kush really took off in nor cal, most growers i knew would run the purples.....urkle, gdp, mendo purps.....man, i think my boy ran just the purple for like almost fifteen years exclusively.....its not my fav to smoke because I crave a stronger variety, but that plant, the purples in general are a real pleasure to grow....they are vary stable, i dont think i rember ever seeing a seed any of the finished rounds and this is with interruptions during the dark cycle from lights on equipment and opening the door to go in and out of the room, like when you want to show your buddy how dank your buds are looking, and youre so stoked, that you dont care that your disturbing the 12 hour flowering night cycle.....you can do that with good cuts of the purple....it shrugs that stress off like its nothing in my experience....you may have a different experienece, you may have a different cut, condtions, what have you....point being the purple are a pleasure to grow they are easy, and predictable, and they have lil stretch, so you veg them out to the size you want them and put them into flower.....these plants are short bushes, they have lots of leaves, pruning, at least once around the start of flower is an absolute must to make sure you dont get the dreaded airy popcorn bud, that is much less desirable....when "pistilwhipt" pruned (google this old pruning thread, help me to get over my fears of stripping the plant of leaves) you prune for concentration of bud growth, with fewer sites for buds to grow but with an improvement overall, in quality and size, and density.....ur pruning for air cirulation between the plants them selves and in between the canopy and the top of pot....and lastly ur pruning for light penetration, to uncover shaded bud sites and to get light to the lower parts of the plants....My boy has done it this way with this one strain of purple for years and since the bottom dropped out of the market and the demand dictated a change, he finally had to hunt for a new mom, something that he knows would fetch a solid price everytime.....after testing many clones and seeds, a really nice cut of SFV OG Kush was the keeper....she was the one for the next ten years hopefully, but it was interesting seeing him transition from the growing the purple to growing this amazing cut of sfv.....they are nothing alike, at times, they seem iike total opposites from a growers stand point.....where as the purple basically grows itself, this cut of sfv needs to have its hand held and never, ever, ever, interrupt the dark cycle or you might learn the hard way.....hermie sfv x blue cookies seeds anyone? haha basically, his first run was a pretty seedy experience to put it mildly....he called me up and asked me what happened/what to do....I told him the purple had you spoiled in a way with her very manageable structure and stable growth patteran that is not easily stressed by light leaks, disturbing the night cycle, etc....go in to your flower rooms and re check for all light leaks and tape up the glowing red power buttions on your dehumidifier and power strips......never go into the rooms when the lights arent on......i mean it.....never do it man or you could be seeded out in the end, again.....the second round came out much more dialed and i was pretty impressed how well he has made her perform and yield for him thus far, this cut of sfv is very nice, must have come from a realy healthy mother....

oh boy.

that wasnt short at all.....more of a ramble.....see, this is why i rarely post....i have trouble staying of topic even on the prescribed adhd medication i take for focus....hope some this helped, in some kind of way.....be blessed....older gentleman

Funny to see nuwave goin for 10gs now.... 3yrs ago the were givin it out as cookies cause they didn't wanna act give out cookiecuts.... its bomb though... just very sensitive to everything n herms easily.... three kings goes by many names, new wave being one of them.......

the three kings im referring too, looks more like headband, like sour d on steroids....my boy had the nuwave, amazon, sfv, and blue cookies all at full term in the same room...i saw them at full term and the final nugs after they were trimmed...this cut of nuwave had nothing in common with this "sour headband" type of herb...looks just like the pic when you google three kings clone review.....3kings is a different cut btw that replaces the headband with trainwreck....they both have og kush and sour diesel them...im too stoned to care about grammer....i apologize if posting that way is annoying....my only goal is to share information and hope that someone who knows about this variety of diesel im referring to, and cares enough to bless with a few seconds of his time to share some of his information on the subject....making the picture even clearer, so everyone accurate information on what i think is an incredible collectible clone....one of the best thangs smokin.....imo...be blessed...

3 kings is sd, og and headband, fwiw

outta the triangle iirc

ive not seen or run it, but supposedly it is preffered by outdoor mersh ops as a replacement for hb and sd

having grown a shit load of hb and sd outside, id like to try the three kings, bc imho the sd and hb arent the best for outside fullterm genetics

older gentleman, the knowledge is much appreciated.
