Depends on the rates where you live, which vary a lot.

You can guesstimate from your bill. A 600w lamp actually draws more power than 600w- closer to 700w in reality.

Hi ,
2x600w=1200w
1200w per hour for 18 hours = 21,600 watts
I'm using Bord Gas whose rates are 16.59 cents per hour
Therefore 21,600 x 16.59 cent will give you a daily price.
I'll let you work it out cos i;m too ripped atm :tiphat:

Hi swan lee, I'm on a payg meter which carries extra standing charges so it'll probably work out at around twice that amount, yeah it's pretty expensive, I got the payg meter in because everyone around here is using the magnet to slow down the meter, works pretty good on old meters but it didn't work on mine, shut down everything when I attached it, had to call the company with a yarn to get it back on, do you think I'll ring alarms putting €60 a week into the payg meter ?

600 watt hps on 12/12, 200 watt cfl 24hrs, plus fans etc. first place i lived we had a day/night meter. what ever was wrong with meter we were getting charged night rate 24/7 nearly half price electricity :)

Will I raise any red flags running two 600s, especially during summer, I have an old fireplace in the upstairs bedroom so that's where the exhaust is going but I've read somewhere that if I use too much power they might come round thinking I'm a commercial premises,,, I have only one shot at this, if caught it's back to the joy.

.I find it difficult to keep the temps down in Summer,so i take a break.I did try vert,which works,but i werent getting the same yields as horizontal.
My Lecky bills are about €35 a month more than normal.but thats only using 1x600w.
Remember youve also got at least 2 fans and a ballast,at most basic setup.

no theres guys running multi 1000 watts im sure. even some big irish growers on here. dont forget its winter now and you need extra heating on ;)

them fan heaters are 2400 watts. due to your medical condition you need the place to be warm ;);)

theres storage heaters in every room in my house, i wonder if i turned them all on what power it would pull 4000 watts easy id say.
