unfortunately I forgot to write down the flip date of these TGA Jacks Cleaner 2 but im guessing around 7-9 weeks. Incredible lemonhead type smell and frosty as hell. Hairs are now about 90-95% brown now, fading colors as well

Do you have access to a jewelers loupe, magnifying glass, or handheld microscope. U need to get a good look at the trichs. See if any have begun to cloud, or amber. I like to harvest when I can see atleast 10% amber trichs. Depending on the effect, and experience from previous runs, u can judge where u like it. The trichs will go from clear-cloudy-amber-dark (this is where the cannabinoids are actually degrading, and u want to catch it somewhere between cloudy and when they first begin to amber IMO). Its all preference tho.

Judging by the naked eye, i would say she has atleast 1-2 more weeks. In this time try to get some magnification to get a look at the trichomes. Another trick if you have a half decent camera, get some clear close ups then blow them up on your pc. Some cameras can get pretty close.

She looks lovely btw. Looks like a headbanger.

I have one of them small scopes from radio shack but hard to focus on buds while there still attached. Is it possible to cut off a bud leaf and go by the trics on that? do they mature evenly thoughout the plant both on buds on leaves? thanks

A trick with your camera if it has a changeable lens is to take off your 35 mm lens and flip it around ND hold the lens backwards to the camera. Makes a good makeshift macro.

Smoked a bud I clipped about 4 days ago last night, was expecting something heart racing which I didn't get bud very potent, 1 hit off the bowl put my head in the clouds, very strong high buy still able to get off the couch and get things done. Taste wasnt very strong but probably because of quick dry and no cure. Slight lemon but smell is insanely good...best by far I've ever had in that area, straight sweet, tart lemonhead candy and strong. Was a little nervous with the talk that tga strains can be weak. Thanks for the info guys, gonna check with scope asap and probably be chopping this week and let it flush a few more days with straight water

In theory, the longer u let it go toward all amber trichs the more couchlock affect u will get. Earlier harvest, Cloudy/few amber trichomes the more uppy less sedative affect. This is in theory, and very strain dependant ime. Also the plant will mature first starting at the top of the plant, the main stem, and progress down to the base of the plant.. Generally the shaded areas will mature slower. This is why many people choose to harvest the tops first and allow the rest of the plant a week, or so>>>harvesting in stages.

U got some good advice already but if ur looking for more head/ sativa effect then pull a little clear, probably now. if ur trying to get max yield and no flavor loss then it looks like the calyx's could swell a bit more.

I was gonna suggest harvesting at least a little bit and then dry and cure and wait till u harvest the rest so u can compare where u like it for the next run.

So I was able to check with a scope, I'd put it at close to 50\50 cloudyy\clear with 1-2% amber. Also saw a few seeds in all 3 clones but none in the other plants surrounding them. Won't know for sure the extent until I cut and trim but a little disappointed none the less. Also seems as though that lemony smell is starting to fade but that could be just in my head.

Usually the JC 2 like JC herself will loose the lemon when pushed late . This is when the line is most prone to throwing pollen too by the way :( . Jacks cleaner is a very dominant line but this is one of her downfalls . I have never grown out the JC 2 but I do have the mother cut ;)

id flush at the very least another week. Longer flush = better flavor

I don't think she looks like the Jacks cleaner , looks more like pics of jack the ripper to me at least.

That would be JC-#2 - It is far from JC-P1 and to be honest they are not half as good as the JC P1 even though they are offspring of the Batgirl aka JC BX:biggrin:

Hey man !

How many grams of dry flowers did you get per plant ?

Original jack cleaner was on my radar but I heard too many bad things concerning hermies with tga seeds

Still flushing, probably let it go till after this weekend. I do sog with 64 per light, 1 quart (4.5") pots of straight coco. Usually get between 7-15 grams per. If I had to guess I'd put these at 9-10 gram per. Nice size but not that dense. Will be sure to keep this thread updated with dry shots and smoke report though!
