Almost forgot lol I also popped some Hortilab Starbud Sister & Sour Power.

Before my cuts had been Lost/stolen I was running the Starbud and she was @week 5 flower from memory. Was very impressed with what I was seeing so I had to get some more popped to see what was what. Hopefully I will get something close to the pheno that I had or better.

I think Hortilab is very underrated, and in the near future will be doing a 30 seed pop of his Super Sour Skunk (98 Super Skunk x ECSDv3)

Original stock from the 70's originating from Ohsogreen. I also have the inbred line and a few crosses that have already been done.

This was my original thoughts getting them over to the thumbers that know what the RKS is. As without that seal of approval there just not RKS
Interms of smell I'm pretty sure we'll know it when we find it lol

I've seen the Mendo Joe name mentioned over the years but never really seen any solid info about it. I will be doing some googling.

Ohso is more than likely responsible for these beans to have flown as far as they have.

I think it is but these beans aren't ohso's. There's a few threads online that confirm how he obtained them. I think the thumber might go by the name of titan or something similar???

The RKS is from pre dutch SK#1 which was developed by a collective of growers over in the US under the banner of Sacred Seeds back in the 70's.

The collective we're grassed up and the remaining seeds ended up in a brief case in holland

All these Cheesey type plants surfaced after this as the Road Kill Skunk pheno's had been breed out and replaced with only the sweeter smelling ones. The original 70's SK#1 had larger fatter fan leaves due to the heavy Afghan influence. Were as the Dutch version of today is more towards to the sativa side of things.

As far as I know the RKS never made it to the UK so no comparisons had ever been done.

FYI, Skunk #1 was bred my me alone, you can't believe what you read on the Web about anything. There was no "collective of growers over in the US under the banner of Sacred Seeds back in the 70's." It is all just a made up story. I created "Sacred Seeds" the worlds first Cannabis seed company, no partners, period. I also made all the seeds myself. Also the leaves have not really changed, the terpenes/plants were just selected toward the sweeter side, with a more up high, because I liked it better. Easy to do with so many to choose from. I like to get high not stoned.
I hope you like to grow a lot of plants, my dozen sweeter Skunk #1 clones selected 25 years ago were selected from a 20,000, from seeds Skunk #1 grow. I wish you luck, don't believe all you read or hear, it is not true......
