Had some calcium issues, not sure if ph or what, I didnt use lime like a dumb ass in this pot... had to get a little cal magic, tried a tsp of epsom salt first but the problem appeared to get worse, the cal magic cleared her right up.

Taking off the affected leaves little by little...

Its gettin bushhy in there!

I envy the growth you guys get out of coco, its just straight water works so good for me, nice and easy. One day I'll buy some meters and fuck around when I have some extra room to learn heh. Thats reminds me I need to update my soil recipe...

I don't have no stinking meters. pH but I never adjust it...just check it lol. Recommended dose of v+b gets me to 6.2, kinda on the high-end for coco but everyone looks happy except the ones that got the full flower dose right when I threw em in. the veg dose gets me to 6.5, veggers love it. my 7up is stacking less than a cm apart. 1/2tsp/gal veg 1tsp/gal flower..it's cake compared to all the other brand's 21 part feeding regimen.

it's the frost that has me mentioning it...I'll get a pic of this leaf on my BK it's dripping resin out of every pore.

you can get a pretty decent tds meter for sheap on amazon. Pretty sure I got mine for around $10 and it's been the easiest thing ever to use. SO much easier than the pH, no muss no fuss. Just rinse off the probe after use and put the cover on it and forget it. Havnt needed to clean or calibrate it in the year I've had it.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002T6L5M/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

That's the one I have, sucks they raised the price, actually got mine for $16.

Yeah some nutrients can be finicky. The GH I use doesnt come out the same every time, I dont think it ever has. I use 4.0mL and the ppms can vary by about 50-75. Its the GH though cause it like solidifies and you gotta shake the crap outta it everytime.

Man Im bad. I have my tds meter but rarely use it. I gotta stop growing so much by feel and start taking down some hard numbers so I can get an accurate depiction of wtf is going on with my girls. They're doing really well, it just seems I'm giving them a bit too much N in the beginning of flower, thats the only burn Im getting now (very minor).

By the time I flower the gb I think I should have a good nut formula that wont over/under feed them.

Went a little to low on feed after noticing the tip burn and was surprised to find that in flower underfeeding almost burns the plants like overfeeding. Well, I mean that the leaves kinda faded like in flush, but they wont get that nice deep green back even after 5 days of full feed. Learned a good lesson there. Cant over do it then under do it to try and compensate, gotta find that sweet, sweet spot

I love this stuff man, forgot how much of a stress reliever it is after a longs days work to go and water the plants after smoking a fat one

wow !!! i'm surprised your not having problems with the PH that high . if i vary at all above 6.0 i get lockout in veg , flower can handle a higher PH , but veg has to be spot on or defs appear overnight .

if you look at the chart , your not letting them get anything but N & mag in that range . everything else is building up in the medium cuz the plant can't uptake it at that level . your not showing any signs of a def ??? are you using straight coco , or are there some nutes in it ???

My PH meter just shit the bed on sunday when i was recalibrating it . i mixed up a batch of veg nutes anyways & fed them cuz they needed it . by tuesday when i got the new meter my veg looked like shit & when i tested what was left of what i fed them it was 6.2 ..... my GB #2 mom took it the worst . i'll get a pic to show you .

the first pic is the GB 2 mom worst effected by 2 feeds of 6.2 PH . the other 2 pics are of other strains that got effected too , but not as bad .

The only thing i can think of for your situation is that your meter is reading higher than it actually is .its out of calibration . cuz V&B mixed in higher doses like flower the PH usually comes out in the right PH range of 5.8 . the veg mix of a lower dose usually comes out at 6.0 & i have to down it a little .
i'd say get your meter calibrated & see what your really feeding with . cuz if its off by that much & your plants are doing great ..... imagine how much better they'll be if they're fed in the range that they can uptake all the nutes !!!

A good PH & EC/TDS/PPM meter , the blue lab pens are pretty accurate & reliable . i've been using Oakton meters & my PH pen just shit the bed , but its over 2 years old , so i can't complain . i calibrate mine every sunday just as a precaution .

most EC meters read in PPMs (.5 conversion or .7 conversion ) or TDS , we convert back to EC by means of a chart which is electrical conductivity & is the main reading source of all meters . they make the meters in PPM or TDS for different water sources like aquariums or for drinking water sources .

heres the bluelab chart i use for the conversion . you'll notice that the .5 PPM conversion is also the TDS conversion . my Oakton reads in TDS total dissolved solids .

You got RO though I start with tap of 7.5, V+B hard...and yeah one of my Fatgirl cuts isnt looking so hot. EC/TDS is next then 2gals & a bunch of nutrifield 50/50 chunks/coir. It flushed out clear, how's that for a PPM reading? Yeup EC/TDS is next.

& eeeeeeeee @ GB2 mom, gonna put a pronto on that^

yeah , she'll be fine now that i got a new PH meter & shes getting the correct feeds . but when i seen that at first .... i freaked !!!

EC is not as important as the right PH in coco . every plant likes different strength feeds anyways , but the PH has to be spot on or ya get problems like i showed ya .
