To AEA from Tainio

reposted with permission. Reply to AEA concerning contaminated pepzyme from Tainio

Please let us know an address and a quantity that they need. Most of our growers will simply use a mesh filter or scoop out the colony and discard it, then use the product like normal.

Based upon how the “contamination” of the Pepzyme Clear is described it is typically nothing to be worried about (I would like to see a picture please). What occasionally happens is a small amount of food is left in the Pepzyme and a spore or colony from the primary culture escapes the filtration and lysing (every microbial lab expects and accepts a low occurrence of contamination, which is why quality control, air quality sampling, and surface quality sampling is commonplace). These spores or colony formers will then consume the small amount of food that is left and actually produce additional digestive enzymes and slightly increase the concentration of the product.

This is similar to starting a batch of wine. If some of the yeast make it through the process and end up in the bottle all that will happen is additional fermentation will occur and slightly increase the alcohol level of the wine (what they are meant to do in this case).

Thanks.

Definitely a huge difference being able to push them in to the 3rd week oct instead of chopping around the end of the first week.

All kinds of new smells and better bag appeal

That's what I was thinking too. I thought you were a bit late pulling the dog.. I haven't really messed with beyond 65 days with her because you warned of certain bud rot beyond 60 days. I have seen the botrytis take a few late tops. So now pushing 70 possibly 75 days is doable with enough Ca and plant health/immunity. Good to know. Can you describe the new terpene profile? Thanks.

I lost the tips of a few flowers letting em go this deep , but the loss literally is measured in grams...

The increase in yield / quality versus the couple grams loss ratio is drastic.

The apricot incense funk that is normally in the background is the only thing you can smell in the bag.

I mean she's a yielder at 60 days I can only imagine 75. Frost city. Ima see how far she can go..

On another note it makes sense losing the tips since the tops are where you lack Ca first when there is a def. I assume you quit foliar feeding s shield two weeks before... You foliar the other stuff til harvest?

I spray sea shield literally within days of harvest. I know it says not to but I did it on veggies that I pick and eat...no taste. That stuff is so amazing..
Not even a hint of mold for me this year. I have always lost a few tippy tops in the past

Blue dream is comin down in about a week. Tons of resin.

Yummy. That SFV looks killer!

So I am guessing nobody used the PM remedy from AEA then? I am going to get a hold of Gary soon and talk this out.

So I have roughly 100$ maybe 150$ that I am willing to spend to test out this product line. What should I grab as the essentials and what can I leave out. Any pricing charts? Does this company cater to smaller setups?

Yes they cater to smaller set ups with one gallon containers. I would up my purchase to 500$ and grab one of everything they have. If not, grab a gallon of Rejuvanate + calcuim , Sea Shield, PHT Potassium, PHT phosphorus. If you still have a coin or two in your pocket I would recommend Spectrum 5000 and the Polypeptite from Taino. Welcome to the AEA family, great products. I highly recommend listening to the lectures in the first post of the thread. Good luck.

Supposedly AEA has a product called Biological Advantage coming out soon that is suppose to be more geared to the cannabis grower. No idea on prices yet, AEA said it should be on the market by now but they keep pushing back the release date. Thought I would throw it out there as a possibility. Ask BYF if you need more information.

For that amount wait for the Bio Advantage. 2 bottles and 2 microbe products. The bottles have more things mixed in...although you might still want photomag at a later point

Byf is your guy there. I played with them without really knowing what was in them. Ideally they seemed to need some foliar support from aea products...but who knows if changes have been made? Just waiting to see the labels myself

Indoors currently using 1qt = 1 ml per light and diluting the 1x per week spray so we spray every night. If you can manage it logistically results are better. I am following Tainio's advice on their products.

Im down with using both AEA and BA if the combo is a winning one.

What I am really trying to find is the recipes and application rates ect...

website will be up soon. still finishing up labeling and state registrations for BA. today was Gary Smiths last day with the company so we're going through some changes. i really can't wait for it to be done so we can buy a banner ad on IC and just have an AEA / Bio Advantage subforum.

Yes more info would be great, a brief synopsis or maybe a snapshot, tiny blurb for the thread.
