I've been sharing some of last year's crop around to folks I don't know, recently. Just hitting up in smoking spots and giving J's away...

People mostly don't know about menthol flavour strains, lively highs.

Got a band really fkn high in their studio session, amusing to watch -- especially the drummer who normally hits hydro nugs and was really overconfident that this stuff couldn't be very strong.

hahaha they're crafting a song about it now

Nice going, Nun! By sharing with others we inspire them to also share. Who knows, maybe the song will inspire a few more people in the UK to give outdoor growing a go.

I have met quite a few smokers over the years that love the erb & a lot of them have said that my home grown is better than the indoor grows they are buying .

IMO It´s like drinking a natural cider or drinking StrongBow.

You get drunk with both, but the drunkeness& hangover are not the same.

More or less...:tiphat:

So here's a couple of shots from my small effort.

Was a bit of a let down near the end. I brought the two most susceptable plants indoors, the two Mandala Fruitylicious, so they wouldn't feel the frost. These two plants near the end looked like indoor bud and I was quite happy with them both. Then Boom! One day it wasn't there and the next some of my most prized buds were covered in thick mould! I kept leaving them to go longer wanting them to get as fat as poss. Even under glass these gave in. Lost quite a bit of flower..

Biddy Early was unaffected ha ;)

Sorry for the crappy bud shot pics..

Congrats to all, it was a fine year in my opinion... Buddy; your show as always, killer.. Always a pleasure to go on the journey with you and thanks for taking the time to show us!

Yep, mould spreads fast, last year at my first attempt outdoor I put some Serious 6 out late in the season and they started to bloom later than if I had put them out earlier. Like you Kal,I left them as long as I could then one weekend the rain came and when I went to harvest the small but perfectly formed buds were nothing but black mush. I did save some smaller buds so got a taste but was gutted.
Moral of the story is get your outdoor plants out as early in the year as possible, choose genetics that start and finish early and harvest at the very first sign of mould... that's why I chopped my P.c.k a bit early but still ended up with over two oz of potent, earthy, organic bud.
Ya still got some free weed Kal, grown outdoor under the U.K sun, you can't beat that.

You should look into strains like Church, Blueberry Headband and Blue Widow for mold resistant outdoor genetics. For some reason the Blue family does very well outdoors with combating that stuff

That's interesting what you say about the blue family, I keep a clone of Grapefruit x Blueberry, may give her a shot next year.
Will definitely be growing Serious 6 again, peeps couldn't believe the smell ( lemon) great taste and up, rushy high.

That may have something to do with the properties of the anthocyanin pigments. Several studies have suggested a link between anthocyanins and antifungal activity in plants. Some of the other suspected benefits are greater resistance to cold, heat and drought, as well as lower rates of invertebrate predation:

I would hold off on the GF x BB window, the GF side is a mould magnet! Like the sweettooth #3 it has never been a great outdoor plant. Well documented..

Yes, I did start way too late but that couldn't be helped because of other circumstances. The Fruitylicious (which is half BB by the way) were in a greenhouse when the rain came. In some ways this was one of the most successful and, of all my years of growing outdoors, maybe the worst ;)

I've got stacks of OD genetics but as I only had a small space the fems were utilised. I had to make do with what I had.. Was a lovely summer though and still ended up with just under 3 oz :)
