Lol u ever see the crust drip clean leaves when it dries?
Tap water leaves crap behind when it dries too...
Pretty much anything will clog a blumat line. In fact just dirt or air bubbles in the tube with pure ro will clog them.

I know what they look like. I mix both peKacid and agsil to make dripclean and silica. There are 4xs as much powder to make the agsil in a liter and the recommended dose per gal is 10 times higher than peKacid. I know what the heck was clogging my lines. Adding silica did NOTHING for my plants. If you like it fine, I already said you can have my share of it on earth lol:tiphat:

Also, when youre girls are in one gallons are you watering twice a day? When you transplant into them, do you let it dry out a little after its first water or do you just keep soaking the media. I am growing in coco for my first time and am not quite sure how much to feed/water em.

When u transplant u want it to dry up a bit more then normal but not like soil...u will see the top of the coco lighten up if its 3gal lift it up feel if its light compare it to a wet pot n a dry pot u want it to be in the middle somewhere. ... a few days later u can water like normal... u dont want it to dry at all...

When I transplant to bigger pots like 3 gal, I "charge" about the bottom 2" of coco with my 6/9 solution...getting it nice and moist, then fill the rest of the pot with coco straight out of the bag. (Keep in mind you should check to make sure your coco isnt hot) I will water from the top lightly a few times over thr next week or so. You want the roots to seak out the water. If u soak the media the roots won't move. The idea with coco is to build your root mass. once that's done then you can feed multiple times a day.

If the plants healthy and you don't jump to too big a container during transplants the roots spread out even when kept soaked. I nurse root growth in 16oz cups by letting them dry some but from 16oz cup to 1 gal pot I soak them the first day and every day. Same going from 1gal to 2 gal. Going from 1 gal to 3 gal is too much and I have to nurse the roots by dry periods for a week or more. I use roots excelurator and that makes root growth explode, that might have something to do with it I guess. Anyway what I see if the plants rocking it keeps rocking without missing a beat as long as you take small steps in container size.:tiphat:

I see the same exact thing, if I go from 1 gal to 3 gal have to water every few days. Now on the one's I did the beer cup to 3/4 gal I can water every day and sometimes two times a day now and no slow down in growth the one's in 3 gal are suffering a bit so I have slowed down the watering cycle. And I even took one out of the 3 gal because I didnt catch it in time and growth slowed or even stopped.

My plants got huge in the solos. I then went to 2 gals on some and 1 gals on the others. Once things calm down over here im thinking about go solo (lets not kid ourselves BEER cups) to #1s then to #3s. I like to be able to water everyday if I want to or in case I use those SOLO cups too much the night b4..I like to think if I miss 1 day ill be ok from not drying out. Im kinda lazy over here. Jungle juice 6/9 equals 1.4 ec for me.
Im prob not allowed to post in this thread yet(hehehe since I just hit 6/9 :) ) but since I did a big 6/9 watering last nite I figured id proudly come join ganjas club/thread.

I see no advantage in 3 gal unless you grow a huge plant. I have one plant 6' tall and over 4' wide in bloom, in a 2 gal fabric. I can get by with one watering a day but it prefers two. My other plants near 5' tall do great with one water a day. I did my first coco grow in 3 gal and thought the whole time- too big a pot for coco.

I agree with u 40 on almost everything u said except if you cant water everyday for whatever reason it will keep em from not drying out. Not getting full potential of coco of course but its still a coco grow.
U know sometimes when your hunting bears n shit..lol :)

only 2 waterings a day in flower with 2 gallon fabric pots? I run 2 gallons as well and if i dont feed 3-4 times a day in flower they get pissed. I start out with 2 feeds a day in veg after letting them establish roots in the 2 gallons

Just put these GG4 girls in today......will be flipping in about 5 days

Obviously the environment plays a bigger factor in moisture requirements and removal than the plant. I'm lazy and they are lucky to get watered twice in a day. Soon I'll hook up my automated feed and do 4 times a day. After I get these trees out of there:tiphat:

Im with you on that!! They are too big to start in 3 gal even from the Solo after putting a couple in them because I ran out of the 3/4 gal and didn't want to go find any Gallon pot's. Live and learn.

How u gonna do yoir automate this time bucket, pump, timer, tubes, drippers?

My blumat system can convert to multiple feeds easypeasy. I took off the carrots and made some black hole type drippers. All the 1/2" supply line and 3mm feed line is by the plants already. Put the pump in the 18gal res hooked to the 1/2" line and figure out the timer for how long and how often to feed. Problem is I'm switching to perpetual and feeding from different mixes. The last plant in is getting MB as I switch over from 6/9 so probably can't switch to 1 feed until the beginning of Dec. No way I'm running multiple res.:tiphat:

So the chop happened...stellar buds. However...my dry is a little fucked up. Hung big branches only cutting fan leaves to try to preserve taste and smell which I must say was pretty successful. But my buds are a little crispy. They were in a tent between 63 and 70 degrees with humidity around 50%. One small oscillating fan on low. Buds dried around 5 days. The glass jars seem to be doing their job which is a relief. I will post some pics in a few days and final numbers.
