Paradise Seeds: Sensi Star

Sup everyone n thanks for visiting my thread. I was wondering if anyone here has experience with sensi star, and if I can get some input. I have just recieved a 5pack fem and I am waiting until spring for my outdoor grow.

If you can, please post some pics/info (yeild/report) of your sensi star.

Is this a good strain to top?

Thanks!

I used to hear how awesome Sensi Star was but no more. Wonder if Lucky lost his parental stock.

Could it be, "what have you done for me lately"? I once was going to go with sensi star but ended up with Rezs Diesel offerings. always wondered about SS... Mothers Helper and Northern Lights, too. and Mango. not hearing much about many older lines... Sensi Seeds produced what is/was??? a stable line of products. so IDONO. BTW who has the best Mango?

EDIT: I remember KC Brains with Mango.. but I really do not know.

I have no idea what the current fem version would be like, but assuming it's similar to the regs that I ran a few years back, expect christmas tree shaped indica leaning plants that grow vigorously, have an unusual but distinctive flavor on most phenos and are often shockingly potent. I just think you don't hear much about it because of the usual wave of popular new crosses and names, but it's probably still a very safe bet for growing some potent weed.

I bought a pack about 10 years ago and got zero germ...shame because then it was regarded as one of the most potent strains out there. I remember comments of burnt rubber and lemon, smell and taste...very crystally and potent but have also read that the seeds now aren't the same as back then. Seems that gets said about everything from dutch breeders these days and not so sure I believe it all. Lots of newbs out there wonder why the they grew in a 8 oz cup under incandescent light and gave it miracle grow it didn't produce 3 lbs....

I used to have a slow growin sensi star pheno that was amazing. It was one of the slowest vegging plants I've grown, but was jaw dropping. It tasted like earthy musty pinesol, was the whitest frostiest indica I have ever seen, and a total contradiction. It looked like the squattest kush plant you ever saw, but had the most mind bending trippy effect to go along with the couchlock. I've heard it's big sur holy weed hit with an afghani, just like SAGE from ths, I've heard the regular stock still has winners but the fems throw shitty phenos that dont compare to old sensi star

In my experience it had slow vegetative growth and little stretch with an almost offensive burnt rubber and metallic lemon flavor and scent. A smaller percentage had almost a mintyness to it. It is also very leafy and isnt a great producer. But makes for good head stash. Like most varieties you have to do a little hunting, but some of the strongest smoke Ive had came from these seeds and crosses. I originally grew it maybe around 2006 and made f2 seed and crosses(to dr atomic northern lights and apollo 11). As far as topping goes I have never done it, but dont think anything would be gained by doing so, just smaller leafy buds to trim. I prefer single cola.

I bought one of the last regular packs about 5 years back but unfortunately only got females. I remember heavy frost, it being pretty leafy, and the lemon metal smell. While most people talk about severe couchlock with SS I remember it being a very motivational, get stuff done kinda strain. Wish I could've made some f2s but it wasn't meant to be.

We have pollinated our Ogre cut of SS with a male from a breeders' pack of Paradise SS that we picked up years ago... Definitely a favorite and gets passed over a lot in favor of the newer strains like cookies, etc... We currently have 2 male and 4 female seedlings that just went into flower... We will post pics when the dankness ensues...

the one that got away.sigh.
i had a motavation ,which is a cross of warlock n ss.The stone was sublime.very deep relaxation, strong too.
Plants come and go.I have some knock off ss,2 plants.so similar they look like clones. To me this is an indication that there could be some
quality here.
Hoping they will have the same deep powerfull stoney buzz as my mota.

high fambz!

never had the new releases (femmed ones), but the ole regular ones and the "heirloom" cut, displayed the mentioned iron lemon taste and a freakin ultra stone... if you find her, keep her, loose her, you WILL miss her :)

blessss
ps.: ain't talking about the mud dog pheno (sativa leaning, thin leaves big stretch, white widow pheno)...

That's the best description of the flavor of the SS I've heard yet. A lot of my friends would say, "wow, that stuff if strong", but it didn't become anybody's favorite; I assume because of that odd taste.

Agree on the topping .... I'm finding that to be true for most strains.

I have pure 'sensi star' 100% inbred, It is extremely stable, all plants look almost identical. Super easy to grow. Click on the list below to see...

Got a Reg pak of 10 about 9 years ago. Got 4 females, 1 male. One of the fems had such a great high. Waves of euphoria. Crossed with male, that apparently didn't have euphoria characteristic. Lost mom to Root Aphids. F2's didn't pan out with the euphoria. So sad. -granger
