What do I do Now?

What do I do Now?

First off a big mahalo to Arthritis Sucks. I kinda put you on the spot, you handled it well. The first sample reviewed (#2) was Wife's creation. That's GG4 crossed with Jack Herrer. That plant was one of the last ones taken, so it saw more rain, yet it had very little mold.

Number 3, of course, was Skunkdog. And your right, it produces an insane amount of trichs. You should see it when it finishes in sun instead of a solid week of rain, like that did.

Number one, the weakest link, was Scogi. Truth be told this was a bit, a small bit, of a disapointment. Between wifey, our friendly ghost, and me, we had a bit less than 20 Scogis. There was very little commonality in this sample. They were truely all over the place, from fantastic to ehhh. The four big plants grown here were all B grade. Not bad, one was just reviewed above. The bigger sin was that they were all light. Biggest one came in at a hair under two, as a group the seven averaged a lb each.

And that, boys and girls, jammed up my numbers. Beginning of last month, I would have bet we'd get 30 out of this bite. Reality had a different idea. Less than 25. Fuckin' Scogis.

Hell.... I have nothing to bitch about. Last year, about this time, I was just starting to pull. If I tried to pull last year off this year.....bathtub. Gunshot. This year, we are cleaning the scraps off the lines, and trying, rather fruitlessly, to pull the lines down and repair the damage. A couple more pounds to trim, then we are done.

Daylight wise we are on the dark side of 12 and 12. The shortest day will be a mere 10 hours and 45 minutes long. That's where we are going to.

If you've followed my past logs, this is where I exorht you all to plant a pile, because that is the only way to get profit when you take a couple of ozs a plant.

Not this year. That's BULLSHIT!

It's a LOST fuckin' CAUSE! You will bust your ass hauling all those plants in and out. The second they go inground, they will flower. A jump? Not gonna happen. Then, when these tiny little plants begin to look nice, or at least as nice as they're gonna look, the rain will come, weeks of it, and you will be FUCKED.

So, what do you do?

A plane ticket to someplace with snow?

Psyche! That ain't gonna happen.

I guess we gotta go thru the motions. Part two of the log. Winter growing. Pray for sun. Best we can do.

No worry.
With any luck, a massive hunk of puna shelf will snap off and create a big enough tsunami to shield you from the wind and cool off the lava, yah?

Glad I was able to he'p. :D

Let's see how this settles out.....before we begin to shit bricks.

First off, unlike the last storm which was annular, and only had eyes for the Big Island, this ones models are all over the place. My biggest fear is the storm continues further West, then turns harder North, attacking the state from the South, like Iniki and Iwa. All three were born in the same area.

Worst said, I doubt this one will. There's a good chance she will just brush us South.... more rain and thunder. We should have a much better idea tomorrow. If it makes it's turn to the North now, BI gets it. It ain't even a hurricane yet. Not worried....

Get the habachi ready for my crow.

That said, now what do we do?

As I've said earlier this has been a strange year. The BI took their cracks early, then it has been nice. We were nice til Labor Day, then into the shitter. The rest of the island took their cracks a couple of weeks back. I doubt anyone got the whole enchelada, but finishing early allowed us to dodge the weather. And unlike DB, all a storm will flatten are scraps, a few of which will be ready to take before whatever happens happens.

Green Harvest was up yesterday. A whole lotta nuthin'

We will see. Tomorrow evening we will have a better idea where we sit.

We can hope that it misses you.
Beware of flying greenhouses. :)

Aino sked on leeward side. :dance013:
But I am about to trim too many trees.
And strap down anything moveable.

The girls will be fine though.
I have a generator for the shut-ins.

Now, we wait.
Aloha,
Weeze

No wind but had and having heavy rains and must be snow on the hill having lighting off and on all night. This storm is packing some wet weather. 6am and it is humid as shit Kona winds. We should get some drought relief for the Kona side.

Still raining, but I ordered sun for today, we will see if he shows up. Yeah, I saw Kaleo got his board bit...wasn't he pushing his kids into waves and holding one of his kids when it happened? Heavy! Thank heavens the kids didn't get hit.
Watched a dude get hit by a big tiger right in front of me a few years back. The fall is always sharky as fuck when the big mamas come in to pup.
