Hand pumps for nute bottles?

I was just thinking how nice it would be to have all of my nutrients and supplements set up with hand pump dispensers, instead of "free pouring" if you may. You know, the kind they use for sno-cone juice. I looked around for some, but its a pain trying to match up the lid size and thread pattern of the pump caps to the diff nutrient bottles. So ive decided to look for jug/dispenser combos and simply pour the nutrients into those right off the bat, and label them. I would obviously be looking for jugs that prevent light from getting in. And the materials would have to be able to stand up to a wide variety of ph ranges, and salinity content. Shouldnt be a problem considering some of the food condiments they put in these things... I probably wont do any ph up or down in them though.

Im just wondering if anyone else does it this way. What product do you use? Is there any reason someone would advise against it? Thanks

I grow a few plants, in a box, so my nute requirements are
modest. I use the syringes for measure and transfer.

I label and re use them:

I buy in bulk then funnel into gallon sized bottles and use hand pumps that fit the gallon sized bottles than way you dont need different sized hand pumps and gallon sized bottles are easy to maneuver.

For pH solutions, I recommend the translucent squeeze bottles normally used for ketchup and other condiments.

For pump dispensers, the laboratory bottle top dispensers are highly accurate, but don't deliver much in terms of quantity- and cost way too much anyway. Condiment dispensers are available; check your local food supply store, but don't expect any of them to fit your existing bottles. Grainger also sells a bunch of condiment dispensers, some of which might work.

Dude their really easy to find. They have the 1 gallon size and the 2.5 gallon+ size.

I get my big plastic syringes from a pet supplier and sterile.

Heres the 1 gallon hand pump dispenser made/distributed by hydrofarm

I've considered the pumps, but decided against them because of the priming thing. You'll get inconsistent amounts till they are fully primed. After sitting, they won't be fully primed, and you'll get partial squirts.

A better option, I believe, are twin necked dispenser bottles. http://www.freundcontainer.com/plas...ic-bottles-twin-neck-dispenser-hdpe/p/v32508/ I prefer the 3250B05, has 5, 15, 30 ml graduations. No spill, no measuring containers to clean. Good luck. -granger

I know canna makes a nozzle with a valve . Similar to the ones you see on the orange gatorade coolers that supply football teams.

Im not worried about the pumps dispensing X amount of nutrients per pump. I would be pumping into a nutrient cup with measurement hash marks.
