the more living soil the better.

That has certainly been my experience since switching to beds. Individual smaller containers are just entirely too constrictive for the plants and I don't really don't think the real soil life ever has a chance to REALLY get going because of this as well.

This is just what I've observed.

Alright alright alright!

Mixed up 450 gallons of dirt today, I'm whipped. Me and hard work really don't go well together. We ran out of perlite, just 16 gallons shy of being able to mix up our last 50 gallon batch.

So tomorrow we'll mix up the last 50 gallons of dirt and get the ladies in there and get the real show on the road!

I've been growing different strains in the same bed for a little more than a year now. The roots never seemed to be fighting, all the plants appeared to be of the same good health.

5:3:2 peat:perlite:ewc with 2 tbls/gallon of bone and lime and 1 tblsp/gallon blood, kelp, greensand, biotone starter plus is what I start off with. Then I reammend after every harvest or before every transplant.

Lately, I've been re ammending with neem cake, oyster shell flower, azomite, and sul po mg, in addition to what I initially use, all at varying amounts.

Yo Artie, super-glad to have you here! Yeah it should be a hoot for sure. The goal is to work as little as absolutely possible, while achieving results that can satisfy my standards and pay my bills.

Lately I've been trying more and more to rely on the forces of nature around me to do all the mental and physical work I've done myself over the years. Fuck handwatering, haven't done that in years. Gravity and pressure and blumats keep things at the proper moisture better
than I have ever done. Fuck trying to figure out what nutrient regimen works best for each strain. The roots tell the microbe herd exactly what they want, when they want it, and it's ALWAYS there for them. Fuck measuring and mixing liquid ferts, my bitches get a 10 week
'flush' of straight h2o. Ok, sometimes I'll drench them with molasses if I'm bored that day. FUCK mixing up a new batches of dirt every transplant and FUCK tilling my beds. And fuck buying earthworm castings every run and mixing them in too, I'm growing red wrigglers right in
my beds. The freshest ewc you can have, 24/7/365 all ready, mixed in exactly how it should be. They come right up to the drippers at lights off to get hydrated, leaving fresh castings at the bases of all my plants.

Every day I ask myself, why should I work?

So, just finished up the most backbreaking part of this entire operation, which will not ever have to be done again. 500 gallons of dirt, POW!

Now Lapides, are you running actual lemon genetics, or just getting a freaky old man orgy going on?
