This whole idea of using an equation of expectation is dumb ...its a very human greedy thing to think like this .. in reality these plants we grow are sentient beings, treat them as you would your dog, cat pet hamster, even your girl.. they will pay you off in return

I've hit 26oz per 600 watt several times, always in the winter when it's too cold for spider mites and the humidity is so low the buds don't rot .....some summers it's 18-20oz

First you need a high yielding bug resistant strain, also not prone to bud rot, then dial it in
Once, dialed in leave it, I've seen more plants loved to death than any other cause

flip flop.. 2 rooms 600w each room.. 1 ballast 2 hoods . or no hoods an vertical.
For me it comes down to strain and space....
Buddy couldn't figure out why I was outcropping him with the same gear, strain, nutes, etc. He was using 4x4 footprint...
I used 5x5 as learned that the strain will produce same quality of buds in 5x5 footprint..
Same sized room...he just wanted more room to walk...I'd rather have more buds

Of course you can. I am currently running a single 400w system with 180 watt LED 12/12 from seed in each of my 2 5x5 tents. 20 single cola plants in 3 gallon smart pots will yield 1.5-4oz depending upon the strain. Most Sativas that go 11 weeks will get 4-5 foot tall and yield 2.5-4 oz, hazes will yield less. CBD's Mango Haze last go ran two got 4oz's from each went 11 weeks.

you need a strain that's delusional breeder claims to yield 2lbs under a 600 with ease in 60 days...I have never hit 2lbs with a 600.. but I grow for quality not quantity...and I don't want to spend all day weaving branches and such. or super high plant numbers..lol

Its not easy, and takes 70 days flower with a decent veg time the way I do it. But just 2 plants per 600. It takes on average about an hour a week during the first 4 or 5 weeks per 4 plants, or 2 lights.
Strain was tested just over 25%, with top 5% strongest aroma and flavor. Imo on aroma and flavor of course to each their own!

400watt m/h bulb and a 600watt hps.
200mm rvk for extraction
6 x 11ltr pots 2 x bags of canna terra
canna vega and canna flores
roots excel
would like too hit 20oz

Greenthumb Danny was getting 1lb/1kw with the Shmoe Casey jones cut. That cut is a super fast vegger, grow viney, and ideal for perpetual table stlyle. I think GTD ran ebb n flow to waste. His flowers were huge.

that's why I said 60 days ....I have grown a lot of dope in my time..what you growin??? 25% is that total??? or alleged thc level alone???...veg cycle needs to be in sinc with flower area..if your rotating plants at 30 days then 30 days is your veg time.. if I veg a couple plants for however long I want that's different...

Yeah, So ur clones are still small, if they are rooted pretty well then u want the light down on them but not too close where it gets too hot. So with the 400w mh, u prob can start at 24" for a couple days to a week if they haven't been under a hid yet. then u can bring it down to 18", when u see that they have adjusted to hid strong light, then with a 400 u can get to 14" or so. best to always check with the back of ur hand at just above ur plant under the lights. if it gets a bit hot on ur hand back off the light till its comfortable.
Sounds like ur just getting this started. Im not versed very well with soil. I never achieved these numbers in soil.
I would suggest this thread probably isn't the right spot to get the kind of help u might want. If ur serious about vert I would recommend starting a thread of ur grow there. there are several nice helpful people there. If its organics u want to focus on then maybe in the organics forum. theres always the newbie forum as well. But for sure if u want to learn and grow vert, best bet is to start it there and get help from the guys that are doing it that way.

i would love a decent flowering time, potent ,great yielding ,great tasting strain.....haven't yet found all 4 in one plant yet...you just might have the miracle meds man...spread the wealth...lol

Check out death star and see if that's up ur alley. Its got that sour D aroma flavor thing going, with crazy resin, 25% plus, and great yield from being crossed with sensi star too. My pheno is the lateral stretchy one, so it needs plenty of support
