I bet we do have a common friend. Glad to hear it was good, it kind of looks good. My plants land in somewhere between 0.7-1.2m.

Hi fella! What a joyful thread :D
I'm setting up my grow tent 2'x2'x4' with a 125w CFL for veg and 150w hps for flowering and I have a couple of questions:

I bought 5 white dwarf seeds by buddha seeds (autoflowering strain ready in 60days) and I don't know how many of them should I germinate! I was thinking about 3, but looking trough this thread I saw that most of you grow more than these.

And how big the soil pot should be? I was thinking 2 gallon pots for the 3 plants, but I read someone advising to use four 3 gallon pots under 150w hps, isn't that too much, keeping in mind that they are autos?

I don't want to risk to delay the flowering phase because of the excess of soil, I need them to be ready in about 60 days from germination.

Thanks in advance ;)

ruder12,

2-Gallon Buckets are fine for almost any strain, auto or not, grown under a 150. With dwarfs its a no-brainer, with larger plants its all technique.

Unless your seeds are feminized, I'd pop all of them and cull it down to the three best once you have grown them out a bit.

Even the best genetics can easily run a little longer then they are designed to. However, even auto-flowering strains can be helped along by shortening the light cycle a bit once they are matured.

Welcome aboard and enjoy the ride.

day 85 harvest of two polarlights 03

i use 2,8 litre smartpots and 4 litre containers (thats about 1 gallon ) or i use 12 litre buckuts ( 3 gallon ) .
the more soil the bigger the buds get is my opinion .

the lower branches are getting about hanging on the floor .
and they are ripened so i cut them down .

I always like trimming while them bigger fans that are still left on while they still have some moisture in 'em, so easier to get at to cut. Makes the trimming easier I've found.

Nice job.

hEY COBRA WHERE DID U GET THOSE DISCS FROM?? DO TELL WICKED!!!

A shot of the harvest from last week, trimmed and jarred up last night thanks to the wife. She was able to fill up 3 x 1/2 gallon jars and a 1 quart mason jar.

They are slowly getting up to the cure zone so I'll be keeping an eye on these for the next few days.

From simons perfect cure thread, he seems to say anywhere from 55% - 65% should be fine for curing. I have been aiming for 60-62%. This is actually the first time i have cured this way so i may have to play with the humidity ranges to see what i prefer.

At the moment, all 8 jars i have are around 61-62% and they burn perfectly. The first 4 from my 600w harvest have been sitting around 62% for quite a few days. I'm thinking they are stable and safe to remove the hygros. The 4 that were just jarred have shot to a max of 64% and i've been slowly drying them down to 62%.

When the 600w harvested bud is put into a grinder though, they take some grinding to get broken up. Now maybe im use to overdried bud, i dont know. Then again its a fairly cheap grinder so maybe that has something to do with it.

I'll keep you updated on what humidity i find i like. Honestly, i cant see there being that big of a difference from 55-65% but what do i know lol
