What are you guys using for mag ballasts these days as far as a decent quality one?

Seems the choices are getting slimmer as the digi's take over.

I buy from them all the time, most of there prices can't be beat. I get a 16lbs of Maxibloom for $69, the ground shipping always works great for me. Usually around 3 days.
Hell look at the price on those, cheaper then the rebuild kits. I've also gotten those from ****** here in town, I think they have them for around $120 if you need one quick.

that's a properly ripe plant.

for lights i use 1000bulbs they sell ballast kits for cheap. if you know anything about twisting wires together and electricity they can't be beat. but this is all DIY shit, i don't think they sell commercial prebuilt ballasts. maybe they do...

I myself just picked up two (1000w) Harvest Pro's (switchable, etc)
for $100 each free delivery. The other two 1000 watters are from Htg.
In 10 years of growing I've only had one (magnetic) ballast crap out on me.

I hope you're right - I have no doubt that she was ready to chop but being a true land race strain (or probably as close as you can get in these times) I expect the smoke to be pretty tame compared to the modern hybrids I've grown recently.

Yeah, $120 is generally what I see most Mags going for. I got lucky in that the guy had 2 left and wanted to sell them together so i offered him $200 and he took it I just checked and saw quite a few Mags in the $120 range w/free shipping, i may plunk down the cash for another one.


All this talk of RFI has me thinking about my partner who runs 3 digis'. Gonna have to try the AM radio thing in his room. I guess that just because no one has complained yet does not mean it's not going on. Going over there this afternoon, will post the results.

Ass, check the 1600 (high end) of am. I found that to be worse than the low end. Travels further oh high end, low end is louder.

Well folks, my partner order four mag ballasts this afternoon. Did the am radio test and the radio was squawking like the women on The View. And when i open his front door to leave theirs an ATT U-Verse van parked in front of the house directly across the street, an my partner says it's been coming to that house for a few days now

even if it were legal to grow i still wouldnt use an electronic ballast due to how easy it is to id rfi interference and possibly id my place as a grow for rippers.

glad everyone is checking their equip. out and making necessary changes to remain under the radar.
