okay first I would try to keep your lights on temp and lights of temps in a 10 degree range.

second , is your hood air cooled and what bulbs are you using if there melting there a safety hazard to you and your plants ,FYI

Third the sog is good if you are low on time and needto flip quick .. beware of laws though and make sur irrigation to all those plants will be sufficient that's a lot of water by mid flower also make sure your pruning and strain selection are on point for max yield !:2cents:

 I have an idea. what if the senior members created a ICMAG etiquette thread that detailed how newb growers/members should document their grows, respond or whatever it is your idea of how the threads should be answered, written, whatever. Like, "What ICMAG is here for" or maybe "What ICMAG can do for you if you let it" or perhaps "How to navigate ICMAG w/o pissing people off" or better yet, "People upset with you on ICMAG and you're a newb?"

the way I found out I was really upset. I didn't think and sometimes I still don't think that people realize I'm just really excited....like a new puppy...and I'm learning all of these amazing things so quickly and I am learning by myself on threads that sometimes don't always have the best info. I see someone else who has the same question I once had and I know the answer, well at least I think I do, and the next thing I know I'm being told some stuff that is really upsetting. the dogs who are older than me who've learned these tricks and know more than me seem a little irritated with the new puppy antics. so I guess I'm using this analogy to try and just explain myself, plus I see it with others as well so it seems to be a common problem? couldn't this be remedied by an intro thread or something? all new member check out the introduce yourself section. I would really just like to get along. is this totally a retarded idea? I have been hitting the bong a bit tonight...

I should mention that I do not get the yield that you guys do. I only got around 3 oz from harvesting the entire first crop. that was three HUGE plants a medium two ft tall one and four one foot tall ones. I'm not expecting much at all and I don't get the "stretch" so they never get bigger when I put them in bloom; maybe 6 inches? and I want to smoke hash as my dad died of lung cancer and onyone who smokes does as well in my family. I have a lesion under my tongue and my dad had that as well. I would prefer to smoke bubble hash as there is les plant material. that is another reason as well. I'm not out to make a shit ton of money as selling to the collectives here brings up possible legal issues and really, I don't know enough people to move that amount so it's really just stupid unless you're making concentrates.

keep RH% close to 70 for stretch period , maybe the strain isn't a stretcher but you have to get something thatll stretch for you,FTW! ...if they aren't stretching atleast they should be putting out fat buds .

the bulb that burnt was a plantmax 1000 MH and the tube inside melted long time ago. I'm due for a new one so I can put that on the list seeing as it's the one bulb that I've used most heheh :D
the raptor is an aircooled hood but I removed the glass because I was reading about UV light and MH bulbs. it's a dual bulb and so I had a 400w MH and 1000w at the time I was harvesting but....I broke the 400w ballast MH capacitatorthingymabobber. the difference on trichs with the two harvests were amazing. for the most part though the heat when it's in the low 80's has a night temp of 70ish degrees difference and when it's 75 days the nights are 65. when the dehumidifier is running, the temps are much warmer from the warm air. it takes forever to fill up so sometimes it fills up in the middle of the night and I go in there and th RH is higher than it should be because it shuts off. outside humidity is around 70-90% avg so outside air kinda kills it for me but there is a lot of air movement and the girls aren't being blown to death.

the AC unit also doesn't act like one for your home. it's for a hydro garden so I don't know if that makes it different but it NEVER shuts off even if it gets below the temp I set it at. the cooler will just shut off and the fan will always run. I wish someone would come over and look at it and show me wtf is wrong. I really need to get a temp controller for the inline fan. that should also be put on the list and home depot has one for $21.

I keep reading that you're never supposed to have your RH at 70% unless you want mold and it's supposed be at 40-45% during bloom and higher at veg??? does it influence stretch because my RH avg is actually around 45% at all times unless I watered then it gets to 60%

I just turned on the lights so that's the night temp and the RH was way too high because the dehumidifier shut off in the middle of the night and the huge raptor hood traps the RH because theres about a foot clearance on the sides of the room. I'm guessing at least :D

65.8 lights out is perfect temp... you don't need it colder unless you are trying to induce temp diff for colors but those aren't flowering....

Also plants excrete Co2 during lights off and h2o. The humidity will always be around 65%+ lights off because the plants are pumping water vapors into the air as they exchange co2 for oxygen from the roots.

75-77F i think is the most optimal day time temps which means 67F is adequate for temp diff(inducing cold to change color), and since those are vegging you should just let them chill.

If condensation is building on your hood, then you have a different ball game to tackle.

Don't worry about RH, that'll come later once you have other things figured out.

Get your garden running again, take pics of your A/C unit and find the manual.

you can do 70% but its pointless. Afganistan doesn't have any RH lol and thats where cannabis is partially from... Its not a bitch plant we need to caress like a newborn baby. Bitch is tough, n she likes it rough.

Get ur equipment, and schematics down on paper to help evolve your ideas, organize and concrete them for you.

there isn't any condensation building at night under the hood. I thought it may have been blocking air flow possibly but that really couldn't be now that I think about it if there isn't any condensation.

maybe this helps:
they're generally at 75-78F for 75% of the day with the temps rising for about 4 hours due to outdoor temps to 81-83F. I can cut the lights on to eliminate this.

my RH is 45% avg unless I watered then it's 60% and falls to 45 by the next morning when the lights get back on then it's 45% and falls to around 42% by the end of the day and then in the morning I water again. night time is 60% avg unless I watered then it's 65% avg due to the room air getting extracted so frequently. now here's the kicker...it would extract the air one time per minute if I had passive intake or a hole or something so air could get drawn in without the AC having to push in huge amounts of air. I had a guy come in and cut a hole to put this in so I need to unsecure it and then remove the AC unit. it's a waste and I was stupid and I don't need one if I run my lights at night unless it's summer. I can store it until next summer and then put a furnace rectangular filter in it's place with a baffle for light couldn't I? I honestly don't want to even use the AC if I don't have to and our summers are rather cold in comparison. this way the hole is still there so it's optional and maybe I can just use the AC in the house and it will act correctly because there isn't a huge light a foot away. :biglaugh: the AC unit seems complicated and using a passive intake of maybe 2.5 ft by 2 ft that is filtered will provide enough cool outside air using a 435 cfm inline fan? easy peasy?

I can draw a pic if ya want.

room is 450 cu ft abouts

and thank you very much :)

I have been flowering the vert tent for 11 days now and the phantom has set buds. I can say that the stacking of internodes is different than hori. but all in all I say is well.

picture.php
I may go in and trim more I'm running the bulb at 750w so I would say there's some good penetration going on . I distance from the bulb to the farthest wall is 1' the closest branch is about 7in from the bulb my temps have been 76-83 watering is done every day.

Here the poison kush plant. this will be my first time running her so im excited to she whats she about. shes in coco so I am interested to see the difrrence between soil and coco

Looking good man, looks like it'll be a fat harvest. Ima get into vert... one day.

yea I like it so far I mean I always hate choppin the sucker branches under my scrog; this lets me leave more branches on the plant and now I can have 4 screens in one tent instead of 1 . Im indecisive about weather or not ill make the hori. scrog into a vert scrog.
