Sooner or later healthcare workers and most public workers will say fuck it and stay home...at that point all bets are off...

http://www.nbcnews.com/storyline/ebola-virus-outbreak/national-survey-nurses-shows-heightened-ebola-concerns-n224491

Three out of four nurses say their hospital hasn't provided sufficient education for them on Ebola, according to a survey by the largest professional association of registered nurses in the United States.

National Nurses United has been conducting an online survey of health care workers across the U.S. as the Ebola outbreak has widened globally. After a Texas nurse who cared for the first patient diagnosed with the Ebola in the U.S. tested positive for the virus Sunday, the group released its latest survey findings.

Out of more than 1,900 nurses in 46 states and Washington D.C. who responded, 76 percent said their hospital still hadn't communicated to them an official policy on admitting potential patients with Ebola. And a whopping 85 percent said their hospital hadn't provided educational training sessions on Ebola in which nurses could interact and ask questions.

I never really understood how many americans are absolutely bat-fucking crazy stupid until the internet was invented and gave them a greater voice than the toilet stall wall...

That was a pretty rude statement, considering 1000's of people have perished due to this virus. People are worried....which is very understandable. Some folks have a different way of expressing those worries and concerns. If you wish to tell us what country you are from...I'm sure there is some history of some sort of plague or virus that ran rampant and perhaps killed many of your countrymen and women. Perhaps family members before you. I hope this message finds you well. I do not wish to argue....just wanted to call you on that nasty comment.

The media has really latched on to this, and nothing sells newspapers like doom & gloom. The only shocking thing about this to me is the fact that government has not stopped all air/sea traffic from Africa. That should have been done when the first infected person entered the country. They seem intent on letting it spread.

People do realize, pandemics have been happening throughout human history, and about every 50-100 years. Without blaming it on governments, we are over due. Maybe that alone should open up some eyes. Then piecing together what I said about the United States ability to recognize the threat and ability to stop it, maybe more people should take this seriously.

LOl, this is so funny. Humans should just go extinct so the planet can what, float around in space? Are we going to wait another 4 billion years for animals to evolve and do better than we did? This comment has no thought to it at all. God gave humans life, and God gave animals to humans. Same with plants. It's up to humans to use those resources wisely, not go extinct to see if those animals and plants can do better without us. Humans are the hope, the hope to travel the cosmos. The hope to unlocking the mysteries of the universe. Only humans have this hope, at least on Earth.

All races come to an end? Really? So you don't believe in other life in the universe? You don't believe in class 1, 2 or 3 civilizations? I believe this is what humans ultimate destiny is. To travel the cosmos and control the power of entire galaxies. To expand our civilization over many galaxies so not a single event could make humankind extinct. Earth will look like a blimp on a map once humans have explored the solar system. Earth and our sun will be long gone, destroyed in a super nova before humans go extinct.

first off im not some suicidal dude, i wrote that post i didnt put much thought into it well not as much as you have. as you can see i said "maybe" its a good thing to reset the planet. with the amount of people killed off in wars over the last 100 years maybe we dont need the ebola. US army will do it for us.

man has destroyed the planet killed off most things in our path. old civilizations have been wiped out by our greed. i dont think ebola will wipe out the human race but it will kill alot of people.

still laughing how you brought comic space travel into it. ha ha totally different topic :)

The CDC supposedly patented the exclusive right to the Ebola virus back in 2010.
