Random bagseed grow

Growing out some bagseed for fun. Would very much like to cross the most dominant Sativa females with the most dominant Sativa males.

:dance013:

Covered and growing outside somewhere in Central America.

Would love an update on this grow. I was hoping to find a pure sativa out of the 28 bagseeds I got going outdoor this year, but so far no luck. Still got a few babies coming up, so I'm crossing my fingers. I'm going for variety this year. I'll be tuned in for this grow. Keep it green...

Its funny to say this, But man I wish I could find some of that brown brick weed these days.
Back in the day it was everywhere and hard to find anything but unless you were willing to pay $50 or more a quarter. Now that I would love to have those seeds all I can find, even for $20 a quarter, is brick weed that is clearly a indica containing hybrid and those only have like 5-6 seeds a quarter and only a couple aren't cracked.

What area are you in? Never thought I'd hear of a shortage of brick weed. Well come to think of it, I haven't seen much of it floating around nowadays. Most of the stuff around here is good mids, no more reggie (which would be that brick weed). Sometimes it would be killer for brick.

Im in northern indiana and the brick weed we get isn't what it used to be. its much greener and from the looks and effect is clearly some modern hybrid, instead of the brown sativa(or at least sativa dominant) stuff we used to have everywhere 10 years ago.

Any new pics? I can't wait to see how this is going and turns out.

Ahh the memories of my youth, taking about a years worth of various bagseeds, letting them open pollinate outdoors, then taking those seeds planting them all and only letting a select few grow and pollinate.
I ended up with some great plants and not focusing on resin production, harvest size or flowering time I ended up with 3 different lines with many characteristics I have yet to see out of any cali or dutch genes.
Unfortunately I had to abandon the grow and even smoking and dumped all the seeds, therefor losing 5 years of "breeding" and with the way things are going I'll probably never see those base genetics ever again to even try starting over from scratch.

Plenty of Columbian brick around my way. And I love throwing a bagseed in the grow. Always something new to see. Always good to breed with. :)

Sure do, bagseed is just like any other weed. You got to bring out the best potential in that seed. They all can be great, its just all upto the grower. Here's some pink bagseed I got going now outdoor, 2-3wks from harvest. Smells to die for. Hope you don't mind Gist..

You got it. lol Those pics are from Aug. 28th. They're way closer to finishing than that. I could probably pick them now at the beginning of the 10th week but I like to see more amber trichs. I'm letting them go for 12-14wks. Soon as I can get a hold of a decent digital cam I can take updated pictures. I took them first set of pictures with a friends borrowed camera phone. I think they came out pretty good, but tey still don't do my babies justice. These updated pics will.

Looks like a pretty good amount for your first run. You should be proud of your hard work. Kick back and enjoy the fruits of your labor. Be sure to dry properly, 4-7 days and cure for optimum taste.
