Not a big fan of Belgians, mostly because of cost!

La Chouffe has some great beers.

My favorite Belgian

Speaking of Belgians I was in Denver on some business and found a Belgian pub that had a lot of true Belgians on tap. It was oh so nice but I couldn’t stay as long as I wanted because it was also very expensive. If I’d of had unlimited funds it would have been my destination every night or should I say my only destination.

Every now and then Costco will carry a mixed case of Ballast Point finest: Sculpin, Big Eye, Wahoo and their "Original Pale Ale". Six of each for around $32. Scored mine yesterday.

BTW, the continuously stock Stone IPA (case around $27).

Agree, but at $11 for 6pk is nice (Total Wine and More)...and buying the mixed case at Costco makes it even better...$8 or so.

Bet Goose Island is more affordable in the east than it is out here. Ditto for Dogfish.

yeah we have our east coast perks.... like being able to get Founders, Maine Beer Co., Allagash, Captain Lawrence, and Dogfish very easily.

Just saw 90min IPA 4pks yesterday for $12.99, and some fresh Founders 6pks for $10.99.

I don't really like any Goose Island beers except for their special bottles, like their sours and their bourbon county series. Their regular releases suck imo.

I had the new Game of Thrones beer last night because I'm a nerd:

It was good.

A few places here in So Cali carry "imported bottles" from Maine....like, Hi-Time Wine Cellars (Costa Mesa, Ca). They have a very extensive beer collection (searchable online)--including Allagash in bottles and kegs. BTW, their library wine collection is very deep as well. http://www.hitimewine.net/ Great selection...but so so in value.

Maine Beer Co is the truth. $8.99 for a 16oz bottle by me.

Zoe - Top 5 red ales/red ipa's i've ever had
MO - best american pale ale (apa) i've ever had
Lunch - arguably the best american ipa i've ever had (i haven't had pliny yet... or is pliny a double?)
Dinner - trying to get a few bottles of this imperial ipa. it gets incredible reviews and remarks

I like that "Old Mean Tom" (stout aged with vanilla beans) from Maine Beer Co pretty well.

I'm loving all of the essentially only-local stuff that's around these days. Night Shift out of the Boston area has some really tasty offerings - but they only sell in MA. At least Pretty Things (solid offerings but not really my thing) sells in a few other states.

The peeper is very easy to find from ME beer co.
Lunch and Dinner are better but bit harder to find.
Zoe is also okay, but I didnt like as much as the others

My favorite beer right now is probably Smuttynose Finest Kind, but part of the reason is because I get it for 10.99 a case. I like Stone and Lagunitas, but they are too pricey here, even at the store that has cheap good beer.

I'm having one of their Shoals Pale ales right now, that and the Brown dog is really good.

You guys mention founders breakfast stout; try to find the KBS (Kentucky breakfast stout)
