That's a solid way to start from scratch like that. I used an existing room and prob need to do a little work. But it seems like the ac can leak a little. But I use a window unit, maybe a minisplit would solve that?

frame...set up interior walls ---> run silicone caulking on all seams and corners ---> put in insulation ---> run a single sheet of 6mil black poly around the entire frame ---> put on exterior plywood. Then a single sheet of 6mil poly around the inside and then hang reflectix.

I never had an issue with any air leaking...

Well said dank.frank, that's exactly how I fabricate mine and my o2 saturation level is hella consistant.

I don't think it matters if u push or pull through a filter to eliminate sell. still moving air across the carbon.

I scrub the room. I pull through a can 50 with a 10" can fan to a silencer. pulling through the filter keeps the fan clean. pushing dust builds up on the fan

my lights have their own air circuit. hepa on light intake to keep all my lens clean. nothing is taped. there are the slightest leaks on lil spots on the hoods n shit. they create some neg pressure. for this reason, there is another can 50 on the end of the run to filter any smell that escapes the room through the hoods.
i usually have an exhaust in the room with no intake other than outlet leaks and shit to pull from and i pt my fan on a speed controller dial it down to nothing just to keep air from the room from backing into the walls through outlets n stuff like that and maintain neg pressure. i have a lot of people come over that have no idea of my room i can not afford to have smells escape from just the room being sealed. there is always a place for the smell to goif you have wall outlets. that's why i run all my pipe and boxes for outlets on the outside of wall on the stuff i install myself. easir for me to seal them.
i want neg pressure on my sealed room without really pulling much out just a lil heat from up high. i still want to get my door open lol. mine opens out so neg pressure pulls it shut.
id rather pay for running co2 vs no neg pressure and worrying about smell escaping on a windy day or something.
it only smells here when i transpant, because its not in the room and trimming, same reason. i trim at night when no traffic coming by eg. solicitors friends family neighbors
nothing before 10Pm usually unless im in a pinch n gotta get shit done.

That's how its done! Neg pressure with a good carbon filter pretty well insures no little leaks here or there. U are cleaning all the air.

Love the double screens. I always talked about doing it but never got around to it. Have u been using that before? How much do u think it helps?

I like the duct mufflers too, they seem to help noise by about 10 to 15% or so. Throw a few feet of insulated ducting on there and save another 10% or so as well.

Can 50 is what I use on a smaller 2k - on a 6" vortex - I'm surprised to see you using such a relatively small filter for all that.

thanks AS and Marlo. wish I had filled it up within a week of chop. took a whole month off of flowering because the room was being used to dry, and then keep at a 50%+ RH until I could actually finish trimming it all. I am still trimming the last lil bit if u can believe it crazy. so many people around t see the baby I cant work on my secret room activities.

Frank yeah it works its all about getting the room air moving across the carbon so it can do its job. I have a 10" on there. there is another can50 in the attic at the end of the light run. everytime I go up it just smells like laundry. every couple weeks I pop a few dryer sheets on the prefilter for added help, but its unnecessary. occasionally I stink my garage up trimming or smoking and it in turn smells my house up a lil if the air conditioner is running. somehow smell gets pulled into the air handler for the downstairs(sits in the garage) not sealed up well I guess. other than that u will never smell the actual room.


Joesy glad u cant smell the diapers I have a special trash can for them lol good thing my 2yr old has been potty trained for some time. it starts all over now. looking at my current veg, the glues are awesome again my friend. healthy, blowing up rapidly, and cloning 100% of the time. thanks again bro. this will be my 5th attempt at her on the table there and if I set a 5th light up this month ill have a SOG and 1 row will be glue curious how they weigh out that way as well. I keep telling my buddy INB that hes gonna want to ditch most of his gear for this lady. I think hes about to flip it for the first time this week. watch next run will be 90% glues lol

pretty stoked on a few of them, and im really thinking hard about what to ditch to friends to hold or just eliminate all together. point is I have to many PERIOD and unless im getting into tissue culture I can not justify having 25-30 moms on deck. shit man I got seeds I wanna pop. ive been talking tissue culture kit for over 3 years now at least n still haven't pulled the trigger. maybe that's what ill get myself for my birthday.

I recommend a fan and carbon filter for when ur smoking and trimming. When u like to do what we do, I think its well worth it.

I know u in a situation with ur kid and all but a separate room for drying is nice. I like to chop and hang in a separate room, then reload that same day. take ur time trimming then cause the flower room is rocking. No days lost in flower room makes for happy vacations!

Yeah it's a bit cramped here. One of the trials of having a room at home. Usually I have rotation ready to go, but for now delays will be had.
Usually it's only two weeks. New baby delays add up to another two weeks. 1x thing.
Looking for an office now. Figured I'd build two walls in the corner... One or two tents inside to dry in, and use the main room trim and veg. Filter filter filter and ona gel buckets time released pumps outside of the room and the old crock pot potpourri going low n slow. Move some stuff in storage wise from my house I don't want. Ever inspected nothing there I can't tear down in an hr n move. Just fill the room with my storage With a card pretty sure I can transport 12 plants in my vehicle, with a tail along to follow. Two trips veg moved to bloom and chopped stuff goes to office to dry be processed. Tat way I can work all day no interruptions. Veg the size I want and keep bonsai moms around of stuff I don't want to always clone n run.anyway I got plans to help deal with the issue and remove my veg from home. Lower numbers at the house and I can add two extra gavitas. More flowering

Sprout- cant wait to get that meat and def the glue is always welcome. I am curiouser what scents yours have poppîn. Smelled it a few diff ways now. Haha decap I hope so , but I won't cross my fingers. Maj is a tough nut to crack these days lol wrestle him? I'd have to pay his dr bills lol

Tleaf- maybe during winter if I actually get what I want I can have a 2k on a mover or something a couple runs. That would pay for the office and all the new gavitas if I was able. If not its fine I really just want to eliminate my veg from the house. Rather have 4plants per bulb x6 lights and that's all at home. And the most important reason for the office is to trim in. I can't deal with constant delays getting to my trimming work and having to worry about if it smells or not because of the air coming on. Rather be in an air conditioned sealed trimming room. Tents as dark rooms and the back wall to veg against. Table in the middle to sit at. It's nice to be able to drive in and out of my garage all year around its basically been a year since I've regularly used my garage. Wifey wants it back. And I have a few things to store I don't want here too. Perfect place to put it all as well. Maybe set up a flat screen and pool table there if I can find the right place. Get my game tight.

Lyryc- so many strains so little time. I'm really gonna have to ditch a third of them. I got a few I really want to get still. I'm always on the hunt for the best tasting orange strain. ANYBODY wanna chime in on what to get? I'm all ears. I know of a few I'm working on, and another one that the FUCKEM fam has. Hopefully one of my dear old friends can come through and get back to me. I'd like to have 12 killer types for rotation. A few for the dome that never see a bag. A couple more for seed projects I've wanted to make for fun that require certain strains I'm not into all that much anymore but have potential for breeders.
