Drying in a Quick Cure mesh Drying Rack

I know most prefer to dry by hanging branches across string, which is the only method I have used. However, I have a huge box that a chlothes washer came in that I use to hang dry my buds and it is so huge that it is a big inconvenience.

I found this mesh drying rack on Amazon that is completely mesh for airflow and has up to 6 shelves for my different strains.

Description is below:
Three detachable shelves allow you to have as little or as much space as you need- as few as 2 shelves, or as many as six. Each shelf is 12.5" tall and 35" in diameter when fully assembled.

You'll dodge the two biggest threats to damp produce - fungus and rot - because these dry racks are made of a breathable mesh which allows quick drying and maximum ventilation.

Easily collapsible allows for quick and efficient storage. When collapsed it is 13" in diameter and 4" thick, and comes with a convenient carry case.

Easy to hang from any hook or bar on the ceiling.

You'll never have to worry about dropping a single leaf... ever again. Each section has protective walls keeping your harvest neatly organized and safely placed until perfectly dry.

Here is a link so you can see the picture because I could not paste the actual pic:

What do you all think of this idea? I could hang it in my garage or a spare room in my house depending on temp and humidity, and this would be so much better for me as far as convenience.

Btw, I've already read most of the curing thread, dry vs wet trim thread and many others...thank you all for the help.

I guess Mr. Yello is accusing you of pimping the product??

Seemed like a normal question to me and since i recognized the description because I bought the exact one last week, I thought I'd say so.

It's pretty sweet imo. I'm in MI and we have lots of humidity and i think this rack will help me a lot.
Honestly, my new worry is that by taking most buds off branches during trim and throwing them all in the rack (im used to drying branches on a line), that I might end up drying the buds too quick. I will try tho and we shall see :)

Thanks Vince. I'm seriously thinking of doing this for the convenience factor alone. It's a giant pain to haul in that huge box back and forth from the garage.

Yello, I'm just asking The folks I've learned some good tips from if they think this is a good idea.

SO I'm 4 days into drying the first 3 plants I cut down. This rack has been awesome. As odb said, no need to flip them. They will get flatish but who cares. This is a nice big rack.

I always use these types of racks and I think they're great. I think Advanced makes the Quick Cure rack in the Amazon link. There's some cheaper ones, but some are better than others. They can get gummed up a bit (the zippers), so be careful.

Oh, and I never flip them. Only the biggest buds get a bit flat, but I find that once sweating them, they regain much of their shape.

love these ingenious products, which are made by many diff manufacturers under many different names.

i have a smaller 2 ft diameter one, but i have seen them all the way up to 4 ft diameter.

how did the saying go for that rotisserie chicken cooker? "set it and forget it!"

We have one of these; have owned it for almost 4 years now and it is amazing. For the price everyone should have 1 or 2.

Would you hang dry, trim, then put them on the rack? Or just put them on the rack from the jump? I bought the exact same one and my harvest is nearing. Thanks

I would cut, trim, buck the stalk, then place in the racks...easier to trim fresh, less stalk means a faster dry, and the racks allow for hygrometers to keep things in balance....my .02

I love my 24 inch quickcure rack. I hang it in my grow closet. Place a hygrometer in it along with the buds. Control humidity and temperature automatically. About 70 degrees and 70 % RH. No prehanging required. Hanging on the stem is largely an attempt to slow drying. Controlling the environment solves the problem.
