Greetings folks,

So I have different strains in different mediums (trainwreck in coco DTW and LSD in perlite hempy) and they exhibit the same deficiencies. Larger leaves on the LSD's.

Feeding: Both 6/9 mediums head formula with 5ml silica blast per gallon. A little extra added cal Mag to the hempy buckets for the first couple weeks of flowering. All handwatered.

Growing under 450 W hydrogrow extreme LED lights. Air Temp/rh 84F/45.

Symptoms show nearly a week into flowering. They start yellowing at the top of the plant and maintain green veins. Then they start getting brown tips that curl upward.

I'm growing in an Agromax grow tent. My last grow did the same thing and they were yet again in a different medium: Soil & some plants in 50/50 soil/coco.

It seems like everything is looking like this "deficiency" and I cannot seem to nail down.

I have three guesses: Poor root mass, light burn from these razer LED's, or K deficiency. I say poor root mass because I've seen better roots in pics on these websites. Either way, I obviously have no clue and could really appreciate some help from so fellow growers.

Thanks Gents.

What you're looking at in this picture is train wreck by GHS. And secondly, LSD by BF.

Nutrient burn. Whatever you're putting in on top of your base has burned them. What's your final ec after everything's added?

no silica will raise ph which is why alot of people use it on here to raise ph because you get that and the benefits of silica as well hard stems etc. I personally dont use silica because some I noticed have extra shit added in it so I dont want to throw off the ratios. I use sm90 if I have to raise ph because it has other benefits as well in relation to the roots and also doesnt have other nutrients in it.

Also are you using tap water or ro ? cal mag is not needed and im almost sure of it. Also ive never used leds but 450w ? thats pretty low if its the same as a 450hps or mh. so maybe it might be burned like someone mentioned. If your using tap and cal mag im almost positive thats doing way too much. whats your Ph ?????

Your tap water is starting pretty high PPM. adding Silica is going to raise it even further. Is it possible for you to get your hands on RO water, or even a water filter.
Yes Silica raise pH, quite a bit actually. You can use less than recommended or foliar feed with it.

Thanks for the replies guys. I keep the pH in line: 6.0 - 6.3. I calibrate the pH probe as well. Total ppm are under around mid 700's.

I use RO water and no CalMag.

Thanks again.

This was the effect of too much light. Found the answer in grow weed easy and a brief call to the manufacturer. Backed the lights off all the way to the ceiling and I'm good now lol.
